Rangers continue remarkable Championship winning season

The Scottish Premiership season is drawing to a close and there is no doubting it has been all about the success of Rangers, who have been the clear dominating force and have ended the winning run of Celtic. Fans will now be looking ahead to the summer and the upcoming European championships, with Euro 2020 free bets offers already proving popular, despite Scotland failing to qualify for the championships. Many of these supporters have also been backing Rangers throughout the season, so have already cashed in, following their success. It means Rangers have won the Scottish Premiership for the 55th time and first since back in 2011, as they finally ended the lengthy winning run of Celtic.

Rangers are now set to go the entire Scottish Premiership season without defeat and have won 28 matches and drawn five from their 33 matches played. It means they are still unbeaten and have picked up 89 points in the process, putting them 20 points clear of second placed Celtic, who are a further 13 points clear of Hibernian in third. Rangers have also scored 78 goals and have conceded just 10, meaning a goal difference of 68. It really has been an incredible season for Rangers under Steven Gerrard and shows the improvement they have made.

Looking back to the previous season and Rangers had picked up 67 points from 29 matches played, prior to the season being called off due to COVID-19. This included them winning 21 matches, drawing four and losing four, also putting them 13 points behind leaders Celtic. It just shows the major turnaround that we have seen this season and could it be a changing of the guard as such, as Celtic had won nine titles in succession, moving into the current season.

Rangers have continued their remarkable season to date and recently faced off against Celtic at Celtic Park. It was a match that Celtic were really hoping to win, as they looked to end the unbeaten run of Rangers in the league this season. Celtic also took an early lead, before Rangers equalised near the end of the first half. That proved to be the end of the goals with the match finishing 1-1, which was a fair result, based on the match. Rangers are now set to finish the season unbeaten and will be heading into the next as the favourites for the title.
