Steven Gerrard and Rangers might end title drought this season with multiple successes

Rangers are currently enjoying themselves whilst on the pitch and their performances are currently being rewarded.

The Light Blues are flying high at the top of the Scottish Premiership and a good option for a Betfred promo code, whilst they also made a solid start in the UEFA Europa League last week in a group that could still prove to be rather difficult for the Ibrox natives.

Indeed, they have been helped by Old Firm foes Celtic’s poor form this season, however Gerrard’s Bluenoses are certainly making the most of things at the moment.

Naturally, it has not been plain sailing for the manager, as he has found himself under pressure from some sections of the Gers faithful. Let’s not forget, Rangers were looking solid last season until their form after Christmas went downhill and cost them any chance of catching their rivals.

However, on the whole, the two-and-a-half-years he has had at the Ibrox helm has been a brilliant thing for the Light Blues and I will claim it here as they have significantly improved and have turned into a side that looks capable of competing for titles.

This season, though, the side look as though they could finally end the year with a piece of silverware. Whether it be the Scottish Premiership, a domestic Cup or the UEFA Europa League remains to be seen, but fans should be confident that they will be able to celebrate a success.

Gerrard has not been shy in the transfer market since arriving in the summer of 2018 as he has made a significant number of changes, however the addition of Ross Wilson being added to his side might just have helped him in identifying the right players to take that next step.

This summer he saw the arrival of Kemar Roofe - who has already been amongst the goals with three in eight appearances across all competitions - and the addition of Leon Balogun to the defence has seen his backline tighten up incredibly. The Light Blues have conceded just three league goals in 12 Scottish Premiership matches so far; seven fewer than Celtic and Hibernian.

Of course, other players are continuing to play key roles for the club as well, with the likes of Jermain Defoe remaining as sharp as ever, whilst James Tavernier and Glen Kamara continue to improve to a level that many would not have thought possible.

It would seem Rangers have now learnt how to finish off games, which is something that they had failed to do on a regular basis last season, whereas they are also being helped by their fierce rivals as Celtic appear to have collapsed in their pursuit of 10-in-a-row.

Although there are still 26 Scottish Premiership games left to play, they already have a nice gap of six points ahead of their rivals - albeit having played one more match than them. If they have learnt from last season’s mistakes and continue to see out the games that they are, then Gerrard and Rangers could feasible end their own trophy droughts with the potential of multiple successes on the cards.
