Championship

First up, Ross County managed a vital 2 - 1 win over Ayr United. The Staggies, languishing at the bottom, desperately needed those points, and they delivered, with the victory taking them to within a point of Airdrie.

Down at Cappielow, it was a bit of a damp squib as Greenock Morton and Queen's Park played out a goalless 0 - 0 draw. That point secures the Spiders place in the Championship for another season whilst Morton are all but safe, with a comforting five point cushion over Airdrie with just 2 games remaining.

Arbroath, who continue to defy expectations, bagged a solid 2 - 1 victory against Raith Rovers. The Lichties moved back to third with that win, and it all but secured Dunfermline's place in the play offs too with Raith now 5 points adrift of the Pars with just 2 games left to play. Dunfermline host St.Johnstone on Tuesday night in their game in hand.

Finally, a cracking game at the Excelsior saw Airdrieonians and Partick Thistle share the spoils in a thrilling 2 - 2 draw. Thistle, still riding high on their incredible 12-game unbeaten run, will be a tad disappointed not to have taken all three points, and that draw means St.Johnstone can clinch the title on Tuesday night at Dunfermline.

Airdrieonians remain in the relegation play-off spot, now just one ahead of County at the bottom.

League One

Alloa Athletic secured a comfortable 2 - 0 win over East Fife. The wasps already long since assured of a Play Off place. East Fife, meanwhile, are only 3 points ahead of Accies in the race to avoid the relegation play off.

Cove Rangers picked up a superb 2 - 0 home win against Stenhousemuir. A much-needed victory for Cove, who have been struggling, but it's a dent in Stenhousemuir's title aspirations.

The big one of the day saw league leaders Inverness CT grab a crucial 1 - 0 win against Kelty Hearts. Caley Thistle continue their incredible 17-game unbeaten run and look unstoppable at the top. Kelty Hearts, unfortunately, remain rooted to the bottom.

Hamilton pulled off an impressive 2 - 0 away win at Montrose. Accies are showing some late-season form, while Montrose are now on a dismal run of three losses in a row, sliding down the table.

Finally, Peterhead and Queen of the South played out a 1 - 1 draw. The Blue Toon are now seven games without a win which killed their play off hopes. Queen of the South, however, extend their impressive unbeaten streak to eight games, and they go will go into the play offs in decent spirits.

League Two

Today's Results

Stirling Albion and Elgin City battled to a 2 - 2 draw which saw the Black & Whites slip 3 points off the last play off spot.

Stranraer suffered a home defeat, going down 0 - 1 to an in-form Forfar Athletic. Forfar are now on a fantastic three-game winning streak and are pushing hard for that playoff spot. Stranraer will be disappointed with the result, as it saw the Loons leapfrog them in the table.

Clyde continued their decent recent form, securing a comfortable 2 - 0 win over Dumbarton. That's three wins in a row for the Bully Wee, who are going into the play offs in decent fettle.

In a crucial top-of-the-table clash, Annan Athletic were beaten 0 - 2 by Spartans. This is a massive result for Spartans, who remain just one point behind the leaders. Annan's play off dreams are all but dead however as they slipped 6 points behind Forfar in 4th.

Finally, East Kilbride put in a dominant performance, thrashing Edinburgh City 4 - 0. A huge statement from the league leaders, who are showing no signs of slowing down. Edinburgh City, long since consigned to the relegation play off, now know it will be Brora Rangers who stand in their way of competing in League 2 again next season.
