tamthebam
Newburgh 1 Edinburgh United 4 East Shore Park is one of the more picturesque grounds in the East. It was fairly end to end stuff in the first half, and Newburgh took the lead. The visitors from the Capital got better in the second half and were helped by a Newburgh player receiving a second yellow for a late, high, tackle. 4-1 was a bit flattering for the visitors but after a run of bad results they'll take it. Programme £2.00 Badge £4.00 Decent steak pie too.

DoingThe42
38/42: Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2-2 Greenock Morton, Championship, 4/2/2023 My trip to ICT brings down the curtain on my first completed division of the season, as I chalk up the last remaining Championship club on the list. Attempts to buy a ticket through ICT's website were abandoned after it wouldn't let me access the payment page, and since nobody was answering the phone in their shop (shut, it seems), I missed out on the early-bird price, costing me TWO QUID! So, in a fit of pique I decided to sit in the away end with the Morton fans. A noisy bunch who seemed to enjoy their day out. A great shot from Calvin Miller put them ahead early on, and Morton deserved their lead for a composed start. ICT came into it, and Doran fumbled a good chance to equalise when one-on-one, and Mackay could have scored too. The equaliser didn't come till after half-time, Mackay scoring on the rebound from close range. But Muirhead put Morton back in front after some catastrophic home defending, and they looked on for a great three points and a move into the play-off places. They switched off at the back though, and Cairns punished them with a good finish to make it 2-2 and a share of the points. This was a pretty decent game. Both sides had a go at winning it, and I found the 90 flew by quite quickly. Chicken curry pies were excellent. So, that's my first division finished, and my last big trip of the season done. A hint of sadness about that, but the end is now in sight. Edinburgh, Celtic, Dunfermline, and Stenny still to go. The ten Championship grounds saw me take in league games as well as matches in the Scottish Cup and Challenge Cup. The eight Championship games cost me an average of just over 20 quid each.

I should take in a game sometime.

Marten
Cambuslang Rangers 3-2 Arthurlie A spectacular first half in which the visitors took an early lead, but the hosts scored 2 to take the lead, Arthurlie equalised again but the hosts took the lead once again late on in the first half. As often with a spectacular first half, the second half was a lot less spectacular. The hosts defended well to get their much needed win over the line. They never looked like a side that's rock bottom. The ground is absolutely lovely. Edited February 10 by Marten
ZX1886
Stenhousemuir 1-1 Dumbarton Enjoyable day and a decent crowd as Dumbarton missed out on the opportunity to go 6 points clear in League 2.

It was nice to meet you both at the game yesterday - enjoyed our chat and thankfully that rain didn't start any earlier. Will hopefully catch you's at the Larkhall game next weekend. Crow
Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 Liverpool @ Molineux Stadium . The home side got off to a flyer, 2-0 up after 12 mins and then end Liverpool’s attempts to find a way back with a third goal 19 mins from time. Great 3 points for Wolves who continue to pull away from trouble. A terrible Premier League season for the Reds continues. Crowd 31,664.

JMDPco
Rayo Vallecano 2-0 Almeria Getting less random as now the third time I've been to Rayo this season. A decent game with both sides playing nice football and Rayo just about deserving the win. Pushes them up to 5th and just three points off the Champions League places. Big concern for them though is the manager possibly departing for Leeds - he has done a fantastic job at Rayo. 15 Euros a ticket as well, which is magnificent.
Jute
Hibs U19 1-2 Borussia Dortmund U19. UEFA Youth league match at Easter Road. Hibs didn’t disgrace themselves tonight and made Dortmund work for their win. In the end Dortmund’s superior fitness told and they won with a nice finish. Crowd of over 7,000.
Autistisches Nilpferd
Dundee 2-2 Raith Rovers (Rovers win 3-4 on penalties) Big boy football for us tonight. Challenge Cup semi final at Dens. I'm sure Dundee fans are very fond of their stadium but it's a bit rubbish. The Derry looks like Cowdenbeath and you're in like sardines behind the goal. Not a fan. How dafuq did Dundee lose that? Cruising for 75 then lose 2 goals. Should have won in extra time and the returning hero Zac Robinson hits the post with the vital penalty.
Crow
Wallyford Bluebell 0-1 FC Pather @ Portobello High School 3G . Scottish Sunday Trophy Round 5. The tightest of ties looked to be heading for penalties until the visitors won it in the 3rd minute of time added on. Scenes in the away end . The holders progress. Crowd 122.
CM.
Man Utd 2-2 Leeds - 08/02/23 Funnily enough my last random game attended post in here was the same fixture last season. This was a great game for the neutral. Leeds were 2-0 up before Man Utd rescued a draw which was probably a fair result in the end although either side could've won it with Aaronson of Leeds hitting the post with a free kick in between Man Utds 2 goals and Meslier making 2 stunning saves, 1 in each half from Sabitzer and Varane respectively. I didn't see this clearly until I watched the highlights but Meslier should've done better for the equaliser, with Sanchos shot going right through him. I actually forgot Sancho played for Man Utd until they were reading out the teamsheet, was out the picture the last few months for personal and fitness reasons apparently. Not really any major VAR interventions, think they only checked Leeds first goal for an offside but I can't believe they never looked at a clear kick out on Bamford by Lisandro Martinez in the first half. Martinez was brilliant other than that and I thought Weston McKennie looked a good addition to Leeds midfield. Garnacho was fucking honking and Luke Ayling had him in his pocket. Fred's actually a player I rate more than others seem to but he was another who had a stinker. I've saw Leeds live 3 times now and their fans are up there with the noisiest I've heard and by f**k can they celebrate a goal. The scenes at their 2 goals and the one when I was at the same fixture last season were superb.
Crow
Hamilton Academical 2-1 Queen of the South (AET) @ New Douglas Park . SPFL Trust Trophy SF. A brave effort from the Doonhamers who started well before gifting an opener (21) but levelled (72). They tired though and Accies deservedly go through (96). Crowd 1049 (469 away).

I like Dens- old fashioned floodlight pylons in 4 corners of the ground and a quirky old stand Enjoy it before it's replaced by some dull generic flat pack stadium at Camperdown
