Crow
Thornhill 5-5 Balfron Rovers @ South Common Park on Friday night. F&E Cameron Cup R2 1st Leg and a great game to finish my 2021-22 season . Thornhill always ahead (1-0, 3-1 & 5-3) but were reduced to 10 men after an hour and Balfron levelled. All to play for in the 2nd Leg. Crowd 37.
raith_94
Keiss 5-2 Top Joe'sCaithness AFA Division TwoA trip to the far north this weekend. A massive slope on the pitch, but absolutely stunning surroundings for football. I was there with a group of Dutch people, Top Joe's were short of players and asked us if any of us play football, they got 2 from our group. A 16 year old boy, the son of a friend of mine, scored for them! Love this! Grandad played in goal for Keiss many moons ago. Many a summer playing here - might even have one leg shorter than the other as a result..
Crow
Spartans 2-1 East Fife PSF @ Ainslie Park . Less than 18 hours after the previous one ended, I got season 2022-23 underway on Saturday with a decent game between Lowland League and League 2. The visitors ahead early on but Spartans turned it around with 2 late goals. Crowd 150.
Craig fae the Vale
Drymen United 5-2 Deanston. A really strong performance from Drymen keeps them in title contention in the Forth and Endrick League.
Connor1874
Seriously needing my football fix. Nothing planned as yet on Friday night so might take my first trip up to Tranent's ground to see them play a Hibs XI. I'll need to get something squeezed in as the Hearts fixtures aren't kind to me. I'm away next weekend so missing the Bonnyrigg friendly, away to Berlin on the opening season of the weekend, and the Edinburgh derby in August due to TV coverage coincides with my amateur teams opening day. Crap. I'm away to Saltcoats next weekend as my girlfriends family have a caravan there. Was pleasantly surprised to find their junior ground right beside the caravan park. Looked at the fixtures though and they're at home Wednesday 6th and Monday 11th, I'm only there 8th-10th. That said, I'm looking to get a game under my belt in Berlin. DFB Pokal kicks off that weekend and Viktoria Berlin host Bochum so hoping to get to that. Might even get a few Hearts B games under my belt too.
Christophe
Been well over a calendar month for me! Last game was Everton Vs Crystal Palace on the 19th May. Got some of the Women's Euro games coming up though, starting with the opening match at Old Trafford next Wednesday.
Guest
Viktoria Berlin 1-3 Union BerlinFirst ever game of German football for me. Effectively FC Edinburgh [emoji2961] v Hearts apart from if they didn't knock down Old Meadowbank and an East German designed it. Also played the Union song before the game which was a bit minteriffic. Union did play there for a season though so that might have been why. Seats were colourful but made the benches in the old stand at Cowdenbeath seem plush. Union a far better team and deserved winmers. Good evening out even if people being able to drink and smoke takes a bit of getting used to.

Willie Gibson’s new look Queens got pre-season off to a winning start in a good run out. All the goals ️ coming in the 2nd half, the visitors winning it 20 minutes from time. Craig fae the Vale
Ayr United 1-1 University of Washington Huskies Something a wee bit different today and a well contested pre season friendly between two well matched teams at Cumnock. A bit of a bucket list item as well getting to see a Huskies team play in the flesh. Some biblical rain in the first half!
Craig fae the Vale
Balfron Rovers 3-0 Gartocharn. More Forth and Endrick League action tonight. An even first half, but a dominant second half from the hosts sees them pick up all three points.

Marten
Deanston 10-2 KillearnForth and Endrick LeagueThe game was a clash between 2 sides that have been doing well this season, but it turned out surprisingly one-sided. Killearn did have some chances though but they were very poor at finishing. Deanston could even have scored more, but once they scored their tenth just after the hour mark, they took their strong striker off and were happy with the score.

Marten
Harthill Royal 0-1 Royal AlbertNot the best game, typical pre-season affair really. The slightly better side won imo.
The Mantis
Letham 1 Rosyth 3. Seven Acres Park. A pretty uninspiring venue but some really good people involved at Letham. Got me out the house anyway and got my season underway. Also got a nice Magnum at ht for £1. Edited July 2, 2022 by The Mantis
