Kennoway Star Hearts 1-2 Edinburgh United @ Treaton Park yesterday 🌱. A deserved EoSFL, 1st Division, Conference A win for United who led 1-0 at the break through Daniel McKinlay ⚽️ before Stephen Scott ⚽️ doubled their advantage. A late goal for the home side proved only to be a consolation. Crowd 59.

Castle Rock FC 3-6 Thursday Select XI.

Castle Rock are a new Dumbarton supporters team and Thursday Select are (according to the referee) a selection of guys who regularly play fives on a Thursday. Decent first half, quality dropped after the break as an ever increasing number of players found themselves blowing out their arse. I've seen worse games at a much higher level.

Tranent Juniors 2-2 Linlithgow Rose. Some come back from Tranent who were 2-0 down with 10 minutes left but managed to snatch a draw. Entertaining game once it got going with draw about right result at the end.

Poynton 2-3 Broadheath Central

Classic game of two halves in Stockport between two Cheshire Premier League play-off hopefuls. Home team 2-0 and cruising at half time. A penalty in the second half gave Broadheath a base to come back with and after their manager was sent off for trying to banjo someone on the opposition bench, they had a fire lit under them and came from nowhere to score a second and third. Poynton still have an outside chance to make the playoffs with games in hand. Broadheath should be there now, probably as runners up in the division to champions FC St Helens.

May as well chip in a few pics even if I'm slow off the mark. I was there about 5 past 7 so no queues at the gate. Thought parking might be a problem as my regular spot in Tranent has now got yellow lines, and also not sure what the Asda allows. But got parked in the main street no bother at 5 to 7.

Linlithgow Academy 2 - 2 St Ninians HS

5-3 Linlithgow on penalties.

Quite a game tonight. St Ninians 2 nil up and cruising after 87 minutes but just couldn't put the game to bed. Goal back for Linlithgow then a scrambled equaliser in the 96th minute. Lengthy delay due to a smoke bomb after the second St Ninians goal led to a fair chunk of injury time. Straight to penalties and St Ninians missed their fourth, with Linlithgow scoring all of theirs.

Arbroath 3-0 Greenock Morton
Attendance: 3,005
I had no plans tonight so decided to take a 20 minute train journey to go to this game. Good attendance and fair result, Arbroath were easily the better team. Kick-off was delayed as Greenock Morton threw flares on the pitch.

Meggetland Stadium last night. Only 20 mins in the car and a nice night so better than a night in the hoose wi the wife.

EOS Premier. Tynecastle 1 Hill Of Beath Hawthorn 6.
I think you can usually get a pint here but the terrace behind the goals was full of rugby types, I think maybe it was a wedding. Crowd 107 apparently, after the rugby types went inside for their jolly.

Excitement building at the Broch / the Burry as the Bonnyrigg team bus has rolled into town and the locals can resume their favourite sport of body shaming prolific goalscoring and well respected Bonnyrigg strikers.

I have warmed up with a trip up a lighthouse and a four mile saunter along the beach. But as I'm a couple of pounds over my ideal weight I did spot a couple of lithe statuesque locals watching me eating my cheese scone in the museum cafe and mouthing fat bassa at me.

May the best team win. [emoji257]v [emoji1655]4f326b207f8dde98f8889cf2d7516ec6.jpg29c9f213da317cb4efc004d2a1620819.jpgee85050f57c9df96317752118ce0278f.jpged174151b79ce488dbfd8d9f42baa189.jpg

WOSL Conference B. Robertson Park. Thorniewood 1 Ashfield 0.

Thorniewood wrap up their league fixtures with an early strike from captain Adam Watt which seemed to beat 'keeper Calder at his near post. A good open game of many chances.

Only watched on the livestream, but there was a funny moment when Bonnyrigg were lining up their wall to defend a free kick, and the Broch fans were shouting "10 yards ref!", and the ref looked over at them and moved the ball a few yards back from the wall. There was a few chuckles even from the Broch fans.

Celtic Women 2-0 Hearts Women, after extra time
The first of a double header at the Falkirk Stadium in the Scottish Women's Cup semi finals. Celtic were easily the better side but didn't finish their many chances. Hearts also deserve credit for defending well. In the second half of extra time Hearts were clearly exhausted and Celtic managed to score two goals in quick succession. Their win was deserved but they made it far too difficult for themselves.

Bullwood AFC 1-2 FC Pather.

West of Scotland Sunday Cup semi final at Renfrew. A feisty, enjoyable contest between two decent sides. Pather 2-0 up early in the second half but conceded a penalty and we're reduced to ten with 15 minutes to go which set up a frantic ending.

Went to both semi finals today. Glasgow City too strong for a physical Partick Thistle team in the end and ran out 3-1 winners. Very good crowd for the second match with a healthy support for both teams.

Glasgow City 3-1 Partick Thistle women
The second game in today's double header was definitely the better one of the two. Both sides played well. The better team won in the end.
