Preston Athletic 8-0 Hawick Royal Albert United
One-way traffic all game. Preston were very strong and Hawick were never in the game. I guess they missed quite a few players though as their bench looked quite empty. If I'm not mistaken, they had 2 outfield players and a goalkeeper on the bench. 8e3ca15d241727237645928b3f100a95.jpg4f985dc2d33d53c76497fb34b0eba568.jpgb2de0956d9a2a3f789d8924a7602ebe8.jpg637127e17c2c58ae2a24808f106eeb80.jpg

Partick Thistle Women 2-2 Motherwell Women (After Extra Time - Thistle win 4-2 on penalties)

A pulsating cup tie. Thistle twice came from behind - the second time deep into second half stoppage time - then held their nerve in the penalty shoot out to progress to the Last 16.

Former Villa legend Jordan Bowery with a goal and assist

They played well. The best part was the crowd reacting to comedy baddie, Harry McKirdy, playing for Swindon. A very 80s feel to the place and people.

Edinburgh South 0-0 Herriot Watt Uni. Probably worst game I have been to this season. Only one real save from either keeper. Even with free entry felt robbed.

Start of a busy two weeks off work for me today. First of seven random games in England. Newcastle United V Watford. 1-1 draw. First half was absolutely awful! Second was better.

Denied access to ICT for yet another week. Toddled off down to East Ayrshire for Darvel 5 Cambuslang Rangers 1. South Challenge Cup Rd3.
Camby competed well but Premier Darvel had too much quality and punished their sloppy defending. Darvel played the last 30 mins with 10 men, losing their no 3 to 2 rash challenges. Looked interesting as it was 3-1 at the time but Darvel simply stepped up a gear.

Accrington Stanley 1-1 Sunderland. New ground for me. Compact little ground with away terrace being open to elements being only real complaint.  Draw was probably right result as don’t think either side did enough to win the game although Sunderland fans will probably feel they should have seen the game out at 1-0 when Accrington were reduced to 10 men. Cancelled train is making getting home fun.

Brechin City 4-0 Fort William
Highland League
Att: 300ish

Brechin took the lead early on and didn't look like ever relinquishing it and could have been 3-0 up at HT. Fort's new boys did play a bit of football but it's clear they still have a way to go to get to where they need to be.

The new Striker looked good, but also got himself sent-off in the 47th minute ruining any chance the Fort would get back in the game at 1-0. A good hattrick for Gary Woods - that was deserved.

Good day out for £7 for myself and a nice steak pie as well for £2.

Dryburgh Athletic 0-4 Kilmarnock
Scottish Women's Cup 3rd round, Glenesk Park
Dryburgh Athletic played well against the visitors who play one tier higher, the scoreline was harsh on them but Killie were definitely the better team. Late on Dryburgh were clearly exhausted, then the difference in level they play at became obvious.
Attendance 80 + 7 dogs.
