What Are You Drinking ?

Recommended Posts

Finishing off the aldi ones with Fierce dayshift and split shift, later on before bed it will be Fierce coffee and vanilla porter, and Jaffa the Hut orange stout.

Fierce's Raspberry Tart. Much like @Bairnardo thought about the blackberry version, I wouldn't have been surprised if someone told me this was a cider. Pleasant enough though.

I've been on a few Aldi specials tonight. Stewart's Unfined American Pale Ale was pretty nondescript, Fierce's Split Shift was much better- a really nice West Coast IPA.

Loch Lomond's Jaffa The Hut is a perfectly decent stout but really didn't get the orange flavour.

I thought that too. Didn't even taste that chocolatey compared to some stouts I've tried.

Got a bottle of this for my birthday. Rather nice. Just the one tonight though.

Never kept track previously, what's the likelihood of Aldi keeping any of the festival features on as regular stock?

Bottle of Don Papa rum, couple of bags of limes, bag of ice, some mint.

Mojitos for the wife, rum sours for me.

Lovely.

Yeah, not a patch on Disco Forklift Truck.

I quite liked it, but.... I like fruity tasting beers where they have skillfully balanced the hop additions to create them. I dont particularly enjoy where someone has made a low bittered IPA and fucked a load of fruit puree amongst it. Feels like cheating, and also feels a bit like an alcopop.

They brought back the Edinburgh Beer Factory  Paolozzi as a permanent beer.  Dunno if anything from this round will maybe the Stewarts.

Solid session NEIPA by Cloudwater (although Untappd says it's actually brewed by Brewdog) from Tesco.
