She forgot to get Quilmes. But I’ll take it. IMG_8095.jpg

I've been going to a bar in Italy for about 20 years that sells Salvator on draught for 5.50 Euros a pint, fantastic beer and have had the Viru in Tallinn.

I’m really looking forward to the Viru and Paulaner tonight.

I’ve also chucked a Zipfer in the sub for tonight so expect some reviews later.

Aldi festival list there. Starts on 29th April. Anyone any idea how long it usually runs for, a month I'd guess?

Few weeks at least. Best to get them early as the good ones will go and may not get restocked. Plan it right for Thursday and full range should be there and plan it wrong they haven't put them out yet.

And Union Saturday lager.

Following on from a Spaten and a 7.9% IPA from a home brewing acquaintance

Zipfer.

On pint 2/4 from the sub and it is lovely. Goes down too well. 9/10.

You don’t mess with a classic.

Had a couple of bottles of the Ichnusa earlier, thought it was Japanese until I looked more closely at the label (it's from Sardinia).

Onto this now, lovely stuff but £2-odds a bottle.

Williams Bros Sapien now.

Its decent. Not arsed for the Kviek Hazy chat. Bit gimmicky really. Its a solid IPA but Williams seem to have a core ramge of really good beer then they release loads of different ones behind it that are a bit meh. Its fine, but probably wouldnt seek it out again.

I've been a wee bit disappointed with Williams the last few years...they've more or less turned into a major now and they don't really push the boat out the way they used to...they've got their Joker/Caesar Augustus/Fraoch etc. core plus the Aldi exclusive things they do and I guess that keeps them busy enough that they don't have the time or see the need to do anything all that inventive.

That being said, I necked a Joker in the garden last night and it was great.

Viru IPA (Estonia)

I have to be in the mood for an IPA but this was so smooth I had to stop myself from downing it all on one go. Absolutely delicious.
