The blackcurrant is a bit too overpowering and sadly smothers the rather delicious chocolate and pastry flavours here. If they dialled the blackcurrant back this would be absolutely glorious.

I love Vault City, got a different one in the fridge that I'll probably get to later.

This is an amped up version of Smash It from earlier in the year. It's spectacular.

Cheap and cheerful, from French Flanders. Supposedly a ‘farmhouse ale’, whatever that means.

I'm sure I had that on holiday in the summer. No messing about at 8.5%!

Anyway, I'm trying a few from a recent Aldi trip. Stewart's Orange Hop is a really nice Pale Ale although I'm not getting much orange from it.984b1c3bfbcd75e4c2a560519bf948fa.jpg

Got these in Morrisons in Dundee on the way back from Keith, both very good.

That Vocation one is absolutely superb.

This is a pretty good effort from Loch Lomond from the recent Aldi beer festival. They've opened a taproom in their brewery, which is only about 5 minutes from my house. Unfortunately it's a pain to get to without the car and the Mrs doesn't have a UK driving license yet. Will need to try and get along at some point though.

Not yet drinking, but making......

Tonka, coconut and cacao golden rum. Will be ready to sample at the weekend.

White, golden and dark are all decent if a little grungy. Spiced is good, but some adjustments to the recipe next time I think.
