Archie McSquackle
Thanks guys for the heads-up on the Lidl beer festival. I headed to my local shop at lunchtime today but because it's being renovated they didn't appear to be taking part and just had their usual collection. I did pick up a brochure though to see what I was missing. Anyway, enjoying this 'juicy lager' although it's a bit more like a IPA.

Craig fae the Vale
One of my pickups from Lidl. Not bad, if a little run of the mill.
Craig fae the Vale
Another excellent one from Polly's.

Paul Kersey
A reasonable selection in Lochee's Lidl this morning. All the usual suspects, ie, 71, Drygate, Williams Brothers, Loch Lomond, Stewart Brewing and Edinburgh Beer Factory. I picked up a few random tins and bottles for this evening.
Paul Kersey
Time to crack open the first beer from my Lidl haul. Hmmm, I normally like Drygate but I'm not convinced by this. It has a pretty weak flavour. You can taste the raspberry but this is nothing like a Belgian framboise. I'm glad that I only picked up one of these. Craig fae the Vale
Picked this one up at the Fyne Ales Brewery last week. Pretty decent.
Craig fae the Vale
Pleasant enough, but far from Williams Brothers best.
Craig fae the Vale
Another pickup from Lidl. Pleasantly bitter.

I love Seven Giraffes and Caesar Augustus, but some of their more recent offerings have been utterly fucking insipid.
Iminavest
Brewdog may be a shower of b*****ds but Mallow laser quest is still absolutely top draw
Craig fae the Vale
Flavourly email me almost every day. I'm not usually interested, but the other day they sent me an offer of 32 beers (16 different ones) for £40. I'd only tried two of them before so thought I'd try it. First one tried is this one from Hilden. Pretty good, very reminiscent of a Belgian blonde.
