I've had a few before from my local Asda (much to the surprise of someone on here- I think it was Bairnardo). Reminds me a wee bit of Brooklyn lager in that it's more of an ale taste than a lager. Still unable to find it Barry's stock it -

Archie McSquackle
Will have to agree to disagree on that one. I found it bizarrely over-carbonated, like a cherryade shandy that didn't go down comfortably at all. It wasn't too sweet but without any sour or complex dark flavours it was one-dimensional. Not a patch on Bacchus kriek never mind the God-level cherry beers within Belgium itself - or indeed the Vocation Kirsch imperial stout, the solution to all of life's problems.Fair enough. To be honest, I wasn't convinced on first taste but it grew on me. I find some of the really rich cherry beers too sweet and almost like a cherryade although I do like the Bacchus Kriek. Anyway, wine tonight and this Portuguese red was very drinkable.
Archie McSquackle
Nobody else drinking today? I'm off tomorrow and my wife's away so catching up on Sportscene and AVFTT. Had a few others but just finished an ever popular Disco Forklift Truck and moving onto an Orkney Dark Island accompanied by a Ben Bracken Islay 16yo (What an overhead kick that is, by the way).
Archie McSquackle
Belgian Brown Abbey beer Tongerlo from my Beer 52 Belgian box. Mmm, a bit disappointing to be honest - a bit lacking and isn't a patch on Leffe Brun. Was going to patch Beer 52 but thought I'd give the Belgian box a go. Been fairly disappointed with it as I know there's cracking Belgian beers out there.

Eednud
Fancy Meeting You Here, a Swedish beer in Australia. A collaboration between Beerbliotek and North Brewing Co Classed as a New England Session IPA but at 5% abv. It’s very cloudy, doesn’t have a beery or any other smell and is flat. Maybe too old as best by date is 16 June.
Eednud
Ended up doing something I hardly ever do with that last one. Poured it down the sink. Moved on to this from local brewer Little Bang. No sink for this as it is good stuff.

Eednud
Great name for a brewery, Ministry of Beer. From the wine growing Barossa Valley and first time I’ve tried one of their beers, New England IPA. Nice hoppiness and at 6% only a few needed to change the o to an a. Eednud
This is dangerous stuff as it’s 6.8% and tastes more like a spider, think that’s an ice cream float elsewhere. It’s alright but it’s not my idea of what beer is.
