PWL
Office Friday Zoom lunchtime drinks is as mince as it sounds. However, day drinking during work hours is never to be sniffed at. Got this one as part of a Christmas gift set. I usually like their normal Blonde and this is OK but the ginger makes it too sickly to have more than a couple.
Bairnardo
All about the monks of Belgium tonight. Litre bottle of trappist blonde to get through then sampling my own Dubbel which is unlikely to be ready but needs sampled for carbonation levels. Pics to follow**if it makes me look good
tongue_tied_danny
Skye Gold It says on the label that it's made with porridge oats. I'm not sure what difference that makes but it has quite a crisp, clean taste.
Comrie
Pleasant wee starter. Aldi has a decent selection. Better than my local Tesco.

I'm not sure what difference that makes but it has quite a crisp, clean taste. Contributes a thicker, more velvety mouthfeel. It's what they use in NEIPA to get that thick creamy look and feel.
MONKMAN
Few bottles for this evenings consumption, purchased from Barry’s store in Cathcart.

I have thoroughly enjoyed most beers I’ve had made this way.
Bairnardo
Go on then, my Belgian Dubbel, inspired by Westmalle. Very slightly undercarbed so a few days left before it meets the cold, but pretty pleased with it. Clear as a bell, lovely Belgian yeasty flavours going on.

Hillonearth
Fierce's Citrus Tart - pretty decent, but not really a standard sour....more like a pale ale with lime juice added.
Craig fae the Vale
Another predictably excellent NEIPA from Overtone. Slightly spicy on the aftertaste, very pleasant

Archie McSquackle
Pleasant wee starter. Aldi has a decent selection. Better than my local Tesco.Aldi and Lidl seem to have a bit of an overlap with both doing Drygate and William Bros. I was in Lidl at lunchtime- starting on Samuel Adams and then on to a Gladeye IPA.
Hillonearth
This one's REALLY good - Vocation Imperial Kirsch...a hefty 11%, but unlike most beers of that strength the alcohol isn't overpowering the flavours...basically really sweet chocolate covered cherries that get you pished. I suspect given the dunt it packs it may be my last of the night however

Have the new Vocation Banoffee Pie to try later and a keg of SLOPEmeisteR Double Chocolate and Coconut Porter.

There seem to be quite a lot of coconutty stouts being produced at the moment - Overtone did a decent one recently called - almost inevitably - It's Bounty Happen, and I've got one by Up Front I've not tried yet which is like a bourbon oaked thing with coconut cream.
