True lager-drinking cultures like the Czechs know that a bountiful head is key to a good pint and so use much larger glasses to accommodate it; whereas in Brexit Britain punters have a meltdown and threaten to knife the barman if they dare add more head/‘cheat’ them out of volume from a rancid pint of Carling. vikingTON Posted November 16, 2018 Share Posted November 16, 2018 (edited) I've been working through a case of Belgian beers (Bornem; Piraat; Gulden Draak) that a certain German discount supermarket is selling at 5 Euros for six bottles at the moment. Last week's choice was the original Gulden Draak, which is definitely one of my favourite Belgian dark beers and ridiculously easy to drink at 10.5% ABV. Tonight I went for the Gulden Draak Quadruple, which is a little lighter in colour and sweeter tasting but both are equally good.
