Glasgow getting ready for next season allready

Getting JP du Preez is an absolute piece of business.  However I'm surprised we've enticed him as we're a bit disjointed atm and we're playing quite conservatively.  Oh well, onwards and upwards...

This scarily looks like someone has noticed where we are short of players and has a plan to address it. Which will be a first. Another 2nd row, a couple of props and a few more back rowers for next year of the same quality (if we dont lose anyone important) and we could have a decent squad next year

Aye a very good signing and addresses the biggest issue in the squad. I read a post the other day that highlighted that not long ago Glasgow had Andrew Davidson, Marshall Sykes and Cammy Henderson all of whom are doing very now for other clubs but didn't get a look in while Glasgow played Harley and other poor options ahead of them.

I'd say the next biggest need is at centre. Sam J is obviously a class act but after him there's really nothing.

Obviously not international class, but Grigg, Horne, McDowall and Tuipolotu are all decent enough pro level players (and Steyn can play outside centre as well) and seemingly Tom Jordan we have just brought in can play in numerous positions.

I think backrow is probably weaker overall as after the starters in Darge, Fagerson and Dempsey, you only have Wilson and Gordon as back up. Its strange as most other clubs have a glut of backrows that cant get game time, yet we seem to struggle to find any decent

Kinghorn absolutely sparked out by a flying boot. I thought he looked good at 10, a big hard running physical presence, I suppose the idea is to emulate the Barretts, not remotely comparing him to them though.

Pyrgos’s mullet is absolutely horrendous.

I thought the idea was putting Kinghorn somewhere he didnt need to tackle?

He was getting up next to a ruck after making a tackle and there was a freak flying boot to the top of his head as someone else was flying in. Really unfortunate but was a genuine “timber” moment as he was sparked out standing up

Big Duhan, Kyle Rowe and Rory Hutchinson with tries today.

Charlie Chapman the sub 9 for Gloucester scored a cracker as well. He's rapid. Steele has disappeared and wee George has lost the plot so Chapman and Vellacott have to be in with a shout of a call up. And I can hardly believe I'm saying this but Pyrgos has been brilliant off the bench the past two weeks.
