The Naitch
I hope im wrong but its not on tv tomorrow is it ? Correct - we'll have to keep up via the BDO website. The BBC's coverage starts at 1pm so if they're doing live stuff from the start then they might be able to show the remaining matches from the last 16 before doing the quarter finals. What's more likely is that they'll spend the first hour or so showing highlights from the early rounds before starting the live coverage with the QF matches.
DomDom
Gonna have to be keeping an eye on Mick Malone and Mark Barilli of Greenock in the draw tomorrow. If Malone plays like he did at the end of the season in the league, he's going to be a tough draw for anyone. 180s and finished most legs in quick fashion.
Lambies_Apprentice
I have to say this looks very poor in quite a few aspects. Steve West, Joey Ten Berge and Ross Montgomery would be lucky to get into the top 75 of the PDC. 750 quid I see for the last 16 and only 2 grand for the runner-up in one of the BDO's major tournaments which is chump change for a good darts player these days. You can bet the BBC and the BDO will combine to create one hell of an amateur production too. The top 5 guys on the list will make it watchable at about the semi final stage though as they are just about the only genuinely world class players in the BDO. Other than Martin Adams though I can't get my head around why some of these better players stay for buttons especially Fitton, O'Shea and Hankey who don't have other jobs. These guys will get more for turning upto the Grand Slam than they would for finishing as runners-up in the Masters.
The Naitch
The 'star' qualifiers have all made it through the first stage with little problem - with the exception of Robert Wagner who has crashed out.

See he got beat 3-0 in his first game, mind the Danish guy who beat him went on to the last 16 so he was no mug. Barilli got beat in his second match, cant see him making Lakeside this year sadly. Anyone see that wee Dutch boy Vos beat Hankey? Played great darts! Hankey didnt show up really but still.

I watched the first three sets of that match and you could tell right away that Hankey was rattled. Gino Vos does look like a really good prospect, mind.

The Naitch
Comprehensive 6-2 victory for Wolfie in the end against O'Shea. He shouldn't have too much trouble in the final if he plays like that.
The Naitch
Robbie Green currently 5-2 up on Martin Adams in the final - looking pretty good for the ex-PDC man. Edited September 6, 2009 by The Naitch
ayrmad
It's like watching SFL 2 standard teams playing in the Champions League, just shows why the guys broke away from the blazers all those years ago. The final being played on a Sunday is apt as it's like a church at collection time.
The Naitch
After being 5-2 down, Adams is now throwing for the match. Astonishing stuff.
DomDom
Fucking livid with Robbie Green. Was delighted to see him reach the final. Was like a horror movie when he actually got there.
The Naitch
Just read that Sky are considering test driving David 'Bumble' Lloyd on some of the darts coverage - probably for the World Grand Prix next month. That could be good. Oh, and for those around tomorrow (I won't be, thanks to work) the Championship League of Darts gets underway tomorrow which you can watch on most betting websites. The action starts at 11am, but they're also showing the draw for the Grand Prix at 10.30am through the same method.
