It wasn't me on this occasion, but, in the spirit of mod solidarity, I should say that calling someone "paedo" isn't really on tbh. Even if it is Phil Taylor. "Sex pest" is more accurate.

I will use your version in future though as the mod approved Phil Taylor slur.

LoonsYouthTeam 607 Report post Posted December 30, 2019 The contenders idea was nice on short notice, but it's unnecessary this year so I hope they don't. Adrian Lewis has been pish, deserves to be nowhere near it. James Wade finished 3rd in the table last time so it would be crazy to drop him.He has, but sky have an obsession with "Jackpot".If I could have anybody I'd have Steve Beaton. Wouldn't mind him in the premier league either.
LoonsYouthTeam 607 Report post Posted December 30, 2019 I never got the Scholten one, does he just have a massive boaby or is there a darts thing in there? I always thought it was just because he was really tall, skinny and stood quite straight. Probably was just the boaby
We Are Pars Fans! 126 Report post Posted December 30, 2019 MVG in the final and has been poor everytime bar than Bunting match. If he plays like he does tonight, Wright will beat him. Unfortunately he will raise his game and Wright will do his usual final bottle job. Love the darts over the period, gutted when it finishes
Jim McLean's Ghost 2,046 Report post Posted December 30, 2019 37 minutes ago, Sherrif John Bunnell said: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/darts/50952382 Bad times for the BDO. It has become a punchline. BDO scores etc. PDC is about getting pished over Christmas/New Years. BDO is dry January. Or the bad hangover of darts. Mid 2000s when Barney left and the PDC prize money went above the BDO was the end for them. Been on life support for close to a decade.

BishopLenBrennan 356 Report post Posted December 30, 2019 1 hour ago, GiGi said: Gary Anderson to withdraw and Fallon Sherrock in for PL. Aye, as we were talking about on Saturday, I don't think we will see Anderson in the Premier League unless he's offered a massive amount of money. He doesn't have the same fire in his belly now that he's won his World titles and the Premier League. He doesn't enjoy the travel involved in the Premier League and I think he'll take a lot of convincing to play in it year on year. Onto tonight's action, I'm glad we're all absolutely delighted to see that roided up arsehole get battered about the oche. I'm not a huge fan of Wright but I was right behind him tonight. For some reason I've warmed to MVG over the last wee while, possibly as a result of all the Little Englander arseholes in the crowd giving him stick. The crowds at darts have definitely got worse over the last few years. I've never went to the darts, when I do go I reckon I'll go to Aberdeen for the Premier League or Dublin for the Grand Prix. The Premier League in Glasgow's just a nedfest. I don't really mind who wins the final tomorrow, hopefully it's a cracker.

It's sad, because the BDO could in theory still work as a 'bridge' for very good semi-pro throwers who work full time and don't necessarily fancy the all-in or bust Darwinism of the PDC. They've been crippled by poor decisions at board level, and the one USP that they did have in my opinion (Lakeside) is now gone. 2/3 years and the BDO is either gone, absorbed or reformed beyond recognition.
Lee Van Tee 153 Report post Posted December 31, 2019 Gerwyn 'Little Man syndrome' Price. Another one that can it give it out but can't take it back. Nice to see Snakebite in the final but if he had nine darts to win the title against MVG, I wouldn't have any real confidence in him hitting his double.

His averages on the whole were poor and most of the time he is no more than bang average.

Lee Van Tee 153 Report post Posted December 31, 2019 6 minutes ago, Bully Wee Villa said: Sherrock withdraws from BDO Championship. Good for her. I said previously that the PDC has done more for her career in the space of a week than the BDO has ever done. The BDO under Des Jacklin is an amateurish joke, doomed to failure. I feel sorry for players traipsing across Britain and Europe for a year trying to win enough points to take part in this mess.

His averages on the whole were poor and most of the time he is no more than bang average. He played well against Henderson and Durrant and was average-poor against O'Connor, Whitlock & Wright. He's definitely a top five player at the moment and the media like him because he does stupid things a lot of the time. If you can be an idiot but win a lot in sport then you'll be a big star.

They've been crippled by poor decisions at board level, and the one USP that they did have in my opinion (Lakeside) is now gone. 2/3 years and the BDO is either gone, absorbed or reformed beyond recognition.I wonder if the venue change has put people off, with the added expense/hassle of travelling into London rather than free parking at Lakeside. Whatever the reason, it seems to be a huge drop off in ticket sales.I can see it ending up like a similar set up to golf, with the PDC controlling everything and a system similar to golf with the European Tour/Challenge Tour. The downgrading of the BDO's status by the world darts federation to Associate member was probably the final straw.
