Mon_The_Fife
Excellent and well deserved. Wright was fantastic all through that match and that’s the best I’ve ever seen him play. MVG just couldn’t get going. To think Wright was 1 dart away from going out in Round 2 as well.

peasy23
He'd ballsed it up so many times in big games I didn't think he had that in him, but fair play to Snakebite, that was a top notch performance, well deserved win.
Bairnardo
Aye he didnt give MVG a sniff of that. In charge throughout

I think MVG's comments about how he usually does against him probably focused Wright when the pressure was on.
Jim McLean's Ghost
Peter Wright was fantastic. Got ahead and every time it looked like MVG was coming for him Wright either made the checkout or broke back at the next chance. MVG far from his best and couldn't get into Wright's head. 1 hour ago, H Wragg said: I assumed 'Indigo at O2' meant a wee side room at the O2 and there was a wee bit of downsizing going on. Is the venue they've booked actually bigger than Lakeside, and nobody is bothering to buy tickets into the bargain? Edit - Obviously I know it's not the main arena they've taken on. Apparently the Lakeside Darts has a capacity of ~1200 for the darts. Don't know what the room setup is at the O2 but the Indigo Room is listed with a capacity over 2000.

You can probably at least half the capacity with the way darts events are set up.

John Lambies Doos
So chuffed for Wright and to do it against MVG is very special. Price (Peter is rubbish with these darts) looks like more of a cock now [emoji23]. Well done snakebite. [emoji1022]
Spring Onion
Glad Wright won, he looked very calm and focused. He never got so excitable when he had a great finish and never looked down or upset if he missed any. Looked completely in control and MVG couldn't keep up.
Bully Wee Villa
Premier League: MVG, Anderson, Price, Wright, Aspinall, Cross, Smith, Gurney, Durrant plus nine "challengers" to be announced later in the week. Edit: two Challengers are John Henderson and Fallon Sherrock. The rest to be announced in a couple of days. BishopLenBrennan
Big John Henderson in Aberdeen again. Outstanding. I hope they don't shite the bed and pit him against another Scottish player.

LoonsYouthTeam
That was tremendous. Delighted for Wright. Thought MVG would kick on but those missed doubles effected him. The amount of 10, 11, 12, 13 darters were amazing!

The legs and sets he won, MVG was imperious, summed up by the double 12 he missed for a nine darter in the penultimate leg of the match, most of the other legs his scoring was extremely erratic and rarely found the treble, very, very unlike him.

He was like that all tournament, flashes of brilliance but largely mediocre. His mediocre is still very good which saw him through but every time he looked like bossing the tournament he'd then have a few runs of bad legs.
