Durrant needs to win his section of the draw to get his card. No remotely big names in his path.

He scraped his last 128 tie 5-4, surviving 3 match darts against him in the process.

Won his last 64 tie 5-0 with a 104+ average.

Waites out in the last 128.

Where are the scores/Order of Merit? I can't find them. Did any women enter?

I seen Lorraine Winstanley beat John Part on day one. No idea if any others entered.

Edit - here's the link to the scores

Durrant gets his card fairly comfortably in the end. Lisa Ashton got within a game of one, which is really impressive in that big a field.  How much longer can the BDO survive as a serious organisation now that it's become so much easier to flee and most of the big hitters are deciding to chase the coin with no recriminations?

Kevin Painter got Kirk Shepherd in one of the finals with Shepherd already guaranteed his card and Painter needing a win to get his. Painter bottled it and the man to benefit from it? Good old Barrie Bates. Wonder if he ever got rid of that gout?

I see of the Lakeside quarter finalists that two  of the Q-School entrants gained cards - Durrant and Whitehead while three, Waites, McKinstry and Williams failed to win a card.

Doesn't say much for the talent pool in the BDO.

McGeeney and Baker winning cards by the second day when they couldn't get to the quarter finals of Lakeside does though.

Ridiculous decision to bring nine different players in to play a week each, should have picked one player as a permanent replacement.
Definitely. Matches will count in the standings so it brings the integrity of the competition into question as everybody won't have played the same calibre of opponent.
