Harrington doesn't have the players. I don't think there is any captain that could bridge the gap between talent/form of these two teams.

Even his picks aren't that bad. Garcia has been one of the best. Lowry showed something this afternoon. Poulter obviously not great but if he didn't pick him and it was going this badly everyone would be criticisng him for missing the Poulter spark.

James directed his own downfall with his 3 untested rookies going out 3,4 and 5 on the Sunday. They all got whipped and the yanks built from that momentum.

It was similar in Paris

Their team on paper looked amazing,  we stuffed them

Granted in America but we haven't turned up enmasse

Something not right?

Europe simply have too many players here that are probably just past their sell by dates for this event. Westwood, Poulter and Casey are solid tour pros but not cut for this level any more. McIlroy is in serious danger of joining them and guys like Fleetwood and Fitzpatrick are pretty average these days. Garcia has played ok but surely this is his last RC. Rahm is an absolutely magnificent golfer, but he's surrounded by Dross. The next two or three RCs are going to be pretty humbling experiences imo

We're so far behind that the order doesn't matter really, but what on earth is Harrington thinking about putting Rory out first?

Talk about lamb to the slaughter.

McIlroy has been so poor that the he’s almost certain to lose , whoever he’s up against. Harrington’s maybe gambled that Stricker’ll put one of their top boys out first. So that they’ll have almost wasted a strong player to beat McIlroy , when in reality , their weakest link would probably have beat him anyway.

Basically the yanks have turned up and this one is going to form.

Does the competition good for the yanks to win one every now and then especially for the tv ratings over there 😉

Chucked it on the 18.5 -9.5 correct score, see if Europe can avoid the record defeat.
