lichtie23
Controversial opinion but the elderly members shouldn’t be playing at the weekend. They’ve got Monday to Friday to play while the members of working age are at work.

They’ve got Monday to Friday to play while the members of working age are at work. There was certainly a case for that when most seniors were only paying half fees. I suspect most clubs have binned seniors' discounts (and if they haven't their balance sheets must be pretty damned healthy...), which makes that argument a bit tougher to make. Although I agree with the contempt for the dinosaur attitudes being shown re letting singles through. When I used to receive the "no standing on the golf course" line, I'd always hit back with the "keep up with the game in front, not ahead of the game behind then, ya crinkly auld b*****ds" line...

Please also extend to supermarkets, driving etc.
Central Belt Caley
Just checked my fantasy team, and Scottie Scheffler is one of my picks, get in! On the other hand feel a bit bad for laughing at Daniel Berger bottling it the week before as he is also in my fantasy team
D Angelo Barksdale
**Fantasy Golf League Week 9** sheff's kiss You wait 71 events for a victory, then 2 come along in the space of 3 weeks. Scottie Scheffler is up to 5th in the OWGR after winning the red cardigan. Standings good week 14 teams scored over 250 in the highest scoring week yet, with plenty earning bonuses for having Scheffler and Hovland/Horschel/Hatton. Top man was @The Moonster with 390. bad week @Detective Jimmy McNulty only scored 20 points, clearly a loser who knows f**k all about golf. The course looks nice and a stronger field than last week too. Double points again this week for the PGA's showpiece occasion, The Players Championship at Pete Dye's Stadium Course, TPC Sawgrass. An iconic venue that used to be hated, but is now rated by the pros, summed up by the island green par 3 17th. Better than most.

lichtie23
Played Craigie Hill in Perth yesterday. I was not a fan. So many blind tee shots. There was one hole where the green was at the top of a hill! It really was a tough slog. Also got questioned by a member to why I was on the course It did have some nice views though

A quirk of Lochwinnoch was that unless you knew where to look on the hillside it was located, you couldn’t see the course as you drove towards the village. You couldn’t see the course as you drove up Burnfoot road to the club, and you couldn’t even see any of the course from the car park. Then, when you wheeled your clubs around the clubhouse - wallop. There it was. Mount Everest. I once took an American visitor there. He looked at the course, looked at the scorecard I just handed him, and said ‘is that yardage or altitude on there’.

I really like Craigie Hill, one of my mates is a member there so I’ve played it quite a lot over the years.
