Cam Smith broke all sorts of records at The Plantation Course at Kapalua. Not least The Man with the Worst Haircut/Facial Hair Combo to have won multiple PGA Tour events. Lots to get through in the 1st week so... Standings Due to the number of participants this year, we're doing it slightly different. There's still an overall league of 23, but I won't be posting it every week. Instead I've split us into 4 Conferences to make it easier for me to record stuff and keep track of things. We're staying in Hawaii for the Sony Open this week at The Waialae Country Club. The course is a classic Seth Raynor design from the Golden Age of American course architecture and couldn't be more different from Kapalua with some fairways only half the size of those at The Plantation Course. Scoring will be similar however with little wind forecast and Justin Thomas' 72 hole record of -27 might be under threat. The Conferences will run until 3 weeks before the last tournament when the winners of each will receive a £5 free bet and will go forward to the 'Final 4' where the highest points scorer of the remaining 3 weeks will win a £10 free bet. The Road to Augusta returns this year. A £10 free bet to use at the Masters to whoever scores the most points between week 1 and the Masters. @J_Stewart is the defending champion, can he retain the famous Green Trackie Top or will he be gently placing it around the shoulders of another ? No Ryder Cup this year, so no Race to Whistling Straits type league. Instead we'll have The p&b Matchplay. Introducing some friendly/bitter head to head action. 6 groups with the top 2 and 4 best 3rd places progressing to the last 16 and so on, spread throughout the season with the final played on the last week. I just felt that last year the winner kind of ran away with it a bit, there was a battle for the minor places but the rest of the league was cut adrift and didn't have much involvement after about July. He kindly resisted the urge to pick last week's entire top 10, his team is above.
