He needs to go away and take a long hard look at what he wants to do with the rest of his career and how he wants to do it.

The way he's going he's becoming totally irrelevant when it comes to the big players in golf.

He needs to go back to playing his own way instead of trying to be like the others. Look at the difference in Spieth since he accepted the best way for him to play is like Jordan Spieth. I'm sure it was Butch that said there is no point trying to play like Ben Hogan, because you're not Ben Hogan.

Oh and he needs to fucking hit a million wedges.

Golf is unpredictable, and players can fall off the radar quickly in the game, but the worrying thing for Europe is that most of the US line up has at least another 4 or 5 Cups in them.

There's plenty of good young players on the European Tour but they're going to need to take a big leap forward over the next couple of years.

DJ is the only one over 35, so it could be a tough few years for Europe.

That is stunning from Morikawa.

Seems to be a fair few top Europeans who have fallen off the radar for one reason or another -- Stenson, Donald, Kaymer, Molinari.

Rose also a big miss this week.

Even younger guys like Pieters, Dubuisson, Olesen made one team and then just fell away.

Hopefully MacIntyre kicks on and makes the 2023 team.

You can add Francesco Molinari to that list. The worry is that a lot of these players like Hatton, Fleetwood etc are also going to around the team for a while, but they aren't as good as thd Yanks.

Great shot by Hovland at the last.

Pieters was superb as a rookie, taking 4 points and setting a new record. Currently 110th on the OWGR, and aged 29 should be in his prime.

pathetic from europe...get fucking rid of boys like westwood, casey and poutler and get some young players involved...the yanks relied on boys who were past it for years and the regularly got skelped....this tonight was a fucking hiding.

It's ok to say this, but it needs the young boys to climb the world rankings and the European Tour rankings. Westwood and Casey both qualified automatically.

i know they did..yet the yanks had 6 captains picks...that was painful to watch...pick 6 from the european tour automatically then have 6 free picks from boys in form...this could be a bleak 20 years for european golf.

Yep. I doubt Westwood or Poulter will qualify in 2 years but the likes of Rose, Garcia and Casey may well do.

The points system needs looked at but it still needs these younger guys to step up. Hopefully the likes of MacIntyre and Hjogaard and a few others can do so.
