They say it numerous times a round, even during your run of the mill PGA events, but it only started about 12 months ago. Ewen Murray is especially bad for it, but I’ve even heard Coltart say it and it’s infected Butch Harmons vocabulary now. Once you are aware of it you become heightened to how many times it’s said. ‘Theres no future left of this green’, ‘you can’t miss this fairway left, there’s no future over there’. Though I'm on board with Derek Rae and Ally McCoist. He constantly tries to call the shot before it happens so he can look like he knows what he’s talking about, and 90% of the time he calls it wrong. He reminds me of Wayne Mardle at the darts, who will shout ‘treble 17’ just before a player takes aim as if he knows what he’s talking about, only for the player to go for treble 19 and leave himself looking silly. Ian Crocker would still manage to find a way to mention the atmosphere at an Old Firm game though. Is Wayne Riley part of the Sky team this week?
