The PGA Tour warms up for it's flagship event next week with the AT&T Byron Nelson named of course after one of the all time greats. TPC Craig Ranch in Texas is the venue, decent field as there's quite a few based in Texas. The course, a Tom Weiskopf design isn't anything special, known more for the excellent TPC facilities here. This will be a doddle, a nice easy warm up before next week, winning score between 25 and 30 under imo. Also, please restrain yourself from launching something at your TV after hearing the commentators pronounce Craig as Kregg for the hundredth time. Stoopid muricans.
Certainly looks like you are correct re the course being easy. First round heading towards completion and the guys at 3 under are currently tied 75th. The cut after round two looks like being 7 or even 8 under, certainly no worse than 6 under.

132 out of 156 players under par. Martin Laird is one of the ones who isn't after a 3 birdie, 3 bogey level par round.

Really good 2nd round of 66 for Laird to move to 6 under and a good chance of making the cut. The cut live prediction data suggesting only a 4-5% chance of the cut being as low as 7 under though I suspect that will change.
Knox just starting his 2nd round now. He’ll need to at least match yesterday’s 3 under round to make the cut.

A massive error by the Herald headline writer, or a prediction for July?

Off to apply for the job of golf reporter at the Herald and submitting some of my fantasy league updates so I can at least prove I know what fucking tournament they are playing.

Edited by Henderson to deliver .....

Cut at -5 at the moment, -6 would be as far as it would go so Laird looks to be safely in for the weekend.

Knox currently on 6 under with 6 holes to play.

Brilliant round of 64 by Lee Westwood today to get to 9 under.

Birdies 14 to go to -7.

Currently 63 players at -6 or better. 27 others are on -5 where the cut line is just now but with some of them still having plenty holes to play it won't be a surprise if it moves to -6. Plenty of players sweating it out in the clubhouse.

It's a packed leaderboard at the Belfry heading in to today's final round of the British Masters. Hill and MacIntyre 1 off the lead but with 21 players within 4 shots of Eddie Pepperell on -10 it should be a good final day.

And in classic P&B golf thread style, Bob has imploded since being backed on here.
Not guilty for once. Comparatively poor back 9s from both Hill and MacIntyre hitting 36 when just about everybody else in contention was hitting 33 or 34.

Bland wins his first European Tour event at the 478th attempt, oldest first time winner ever. Holes a 3 footer to win the first playoff hole.

1 bogey in 4 rounds, the least anyone has ever had at the Belfry.

Yep great performance and a good days entertainment missing all things Hunbrox way.
