I absolutely love Sangakkara, pure and utter class, probably the best batsman in the world now. Another 50 today.

7 half centuries in a row, only the 4th player ever to do so and that equals the record. Andy Flower is one of the other 3.

Big wicket for Ali and England of Sanga for 55.

Would've liked them two to see it out till close, would've been squeaky bum time in the England dressing room. They'll fancy another 1 or 2 now.

eta- Got one. Ali again, great ball.

Sri Lanka 106 runs in front with 6 wickets in hand, still very much in the balance IMO. Sri Lanka still have a chance of posting a decent lead as long as Jayawardene is there.

England lost their last 8 wickets for just 87 runs, still fairly poor at this level.

England getting taken apart by Herath and Mathews here. 339-7, 231 ahead. Matthews 3 away from another century.

Jordan and Plunkett are getting bashed up, Broad and Anderson are knackered.

England need a record run chase if they are to win this, cannot see it on a 5 day old Headingly wicket, all out for 220.

I normally like to see England do well at the Cricket, but would love it if they lost this one. Especially after Cook's whinging before the match.

Whit a knock by Matthews.

Cook should resign the captaincy when (if?) no when England lose this.

He can't cope with the pressure of the role and as such his batting has suffered terribly. His melt down about Warne last week was a sign of a man who's losing the plot.

There's not many candidates to replace him right enough, but someone like Broad or Bell couldn't exactly do any worse.

Could see a bit of movement towards his resignation now tbh.

Rudderless on the field and he's not exactly earning his place with the willow.
