Whit happened?

Sent from my C5303 using Pie & Bovril mobile app

Khawaja given caught behind off Swann's bowling.

No real appeal from Swann, but a huge one from Prior.

Eventually given out and Khawaja reviews.

No hot spot and the noise either bat on pad or ball on pad (not entirely sure I'm listening on TMS). Daylight between bat and ball.

Decision not overturned.

Snicko also showing nothing to indicate he nicked it

couple of decisions finally going the way of the Aussies, England use up their two reviews on Smith for an lbw where 49.99999% of the ball was hitting, and one where there was a huge sound but no other evidence for a catch behind.

Then, predictably Smith is absolutely stone dead lbw, umpire doesn't give it and it's ripping middle out halfway up but England can't review it.

More controversy over the DRS, some folk now saying you shouldn't lose a review for an "umpire's call" verdict but then you'd end up with almost everything being reviewed, unless you reduce it to one per team.

As I'm going to the 4th test I wouldn't mind the Aussies winning this. They've applied themselves pretty well so far, and had a wee bit of luck since the Khawaja decision with a few play and misses, which they've not carried previously

Old Trafford looking pretty good. Used to go and watch Somerset when they were there regularly and stay in the hotel. When they only had one of them red thingamys it was a bit of an eyesore, it looks smart now though.

Surprised neither side has gone for two specialist spinners on that surface.
