mjw
Hopefully deal with the tail and don't let them give their bowlers something to play with.

AberdeenBud
The Aussie pacemen should find this wicket pretty tasty as well, although a few of the batsmen have thrown their wicket. Bizarre stuff from MC, seemed more interested in the verbals than concentrating on the bowling.

Savage Henry
Really concerned about my day 4 and 5 tickets right now. Please rain I'd be worried about day 3 tickets at this rate...

Will be interesting to see how much confidence Finn and Anderson have given the England batsmen.
The_Kincardine
What score do people think Australia will be targeting now for this innings? Would 150 put an ok gloss on it?
Savage Henry
Ha ha ha. Rogers seething at the guy in the stands with the pints.
Savage Henry
What score do people think Australia will be targeting now for this innings? Would 150 put an ok gloss on it? They'll be doing well to get 150, but that's still way, way, way below par on a bat first wicket (although that remains to be seen). So yes and no.
AberdeenBud
What score do people think Australia will be targeting now for this innings? Would 150 put an ok gloss on it? Barring rain there will be a result now. Australia's best, if not only chance of winning is to bowl England out for around 200 or less then stick on 3-400 in their second innings. Big ask. As the old adage goes, you can't win a Test on the first day but you can go a long way towards losing it.
Savage Henry
England bowling like crap at the tail again. Unforgivable.
Bobby Skidmarks
6-47 for Jimmy. Cook and Lyth especially need to keep the head, as the Australia quicks will be anxious to take early wickets. jmothecat
Really concerned about my day 4 and 5 tickets right now. Please rain I'm wondering what the hell I'll do in Birmingham all day if this is over because I'm not wasting my train tickets. Brilliant by England.

The_Kincardine
England will hibs this up. I warn you now.... I'm listening to TMS and England definitely seem nervous. The rain break will suit them.

kerrdavidson95
Lyth's all over the place. As I said at the start of last test, Lyth doesn't have the technique to open the batting at International level. The only one who has is Hales.
