Second test and South Africa won the toss this morning and decided to have a bat. They were bowled out for 151, which is about 25 more than it should have been thanks to England’s continued ludicrous tactics to the lower order. JUST BOWL AT THE FUCKING STUMPS.

England 5/1 with Lees gone, he got a beauty tbf.

Think the Saffers have got it a bit wrong here. Two spinners and a massive tail, and opting to bat on a pitch which England wanted to bowl first on. More than a touch  odd.  Hope there’s none of the Handsies going on.

Like you, I found it a bewildering decision to bat first given the conditions this morning. Very peculiar.

Both trophies heading North, with the Northern Lights claiming the women’s title in their debut season, and Forfarshire convincingly beating Ferguslie to take the men’s crown.

Forfarshire have followed up last week’s T20 cup win by defeating Ayr in the Scottish Cup final (50 overs) today to secure the cup double. A superb finish to the season from them.

Anyone watching the Stokes thing on Amazon Prime?  Comes across as a very complex bloke - not necessarily a particularly likeable one, either - but it certainly explains the Bristol incident very much in his favour.  Worth a watch if you’re bored.

I watched it the other day. It is interesting, though I did find the main interview that it is centred around very uncomfortable viewing, he was clearly a very broken man when that was filmed.

In the 3rd and final ODI in Townsville Ryan Burl took a career best 5/10 as Zimbabwe bowled Australia out for 141 with cheating kunt face Warner missing out on a century by 6 runs. Unfortunately Zimbabwe struggling at 5/78 after 19 overs.

ETA Forgot to add that Australia were all out in 31 overs. Also pleasing that Zimbabwe held out and won by 3 wickets (7/142 in 39 overs). This was Zimbabwe’s first win against Australia in Australia.
