There are definitely actively worse guys in cricket but he's definitely the prime pantomime villain since Ricky Ponting retired.

Draw is still massively odds on at the bookies which gives you some idea of the forecast for the next 3 days.

I'm constantly left scratching my head at folks dislike of Kohli. I suppose it's the Phil Taylor, Steve Davis thing. When you're the best at something etc etc. It's not as if he's Oli Robinson.

Will England get the 95 required to make India bat again?

Reckon if the weather stays away long enough, they'll knuckle down, grind their way to 130-2'ish and look like they're going to save the Test, only to totally shit the bed and end up 155 all out.

Stat on twitter yesterday along the lines of they've been bowled out for less than 200 in 8 of their last 22 Test innings, and only passed 300 twice. Truly rank rotten.

Root hangs onto one, India now 205-7.

Anderson now has 621 test wickets putting him above Kumble, only Warne on 720 and Murali on 800 are ahead of him. England will be fucked when he retires.

In fairness, he’s probably England’s best test player of all time, and certainly their best fast bowler of all time.   You would have a hard time replacing him in any circumstances.

His numbers aren’t going to be beaten by any current player.

Truly fantastic bowler in English conditions. The charisma of a lamppost.

England's dreadful batting living up to expectation.

The octopus at the crease Burns goes for 18 and Crawley again proving his Pakistan knock was a freak innings departs cheaply for 6.

Root to the crease.  If he goes this will be all over pending rain by 3pm.

Shambles.

All on sibley and root now. If they can get a 60-70 lead then england will have a chance, as the middle and lower order will slog a few. A lead of 200-240 would lead to an interesting finale in this match.

But can root continue his solid form, and can sibley save his test career? If they both get half centuries then the game will be on.
