Savage Henry
Interesting listening to Atherton on how a test team should be set up, all rounder at 6 wk at 7. The discussion then moved to bairstow being too good a batsman to run out of partners. If that is the case then play bairstow at 6 then you have Stokes, Ali and Curran all still to come who can batI think Stokes is a more reliable bat than Bairstow at this point.
peasy23
After a good day for England yesterday it looks like it might be a stop start day 2 with lots of showers forecast. Covers are on at the moment.
Fuctifano
England collapsing in a heap, is it?

Savage Henry
Actually forgot the game was on (and actually did some work). Jesus effing christ. If it's not Scottish wingers inability to catch a rugby ball in twenty yards of space, it's England's inability to not lose five wickets for 11 runs. Mike Ashley ruined my life, etc.

jaggyness
In these conditions shows you why (like in Australia) you need that bowler with extra pace

jaggyness
If only Wood could be relied upon to bowl more than ten overs in an inning. Agreed. And not fall apart every fortnight. And bowl with accuracy as well as pace

peasy23
That ball that Bravo got was utterly unplayable. It was a brilliant spell from Wood, and a well deserved 5 for. Even more so as it wasn't a mopping up the tail job, he demolished their middle order.
peasy23
England's morning so far after Burns was caught off the first ball of the day. Denly on 29 from 34 balls and looks far more comfortable than Jennings. Lead nudging towards 200.
peasy23
Windies looking rattled, they lost Keemo Paul to injury earlier so they are a seamer short. Gabriel getting a bit tetchy with Root at the end of one over and had to be gently guided away by Brathwaite.108-2 at lunch. Denly on 45, Root on 18.

peasy23
Reports that Gabriel was warned by the onfield umpires for a comment aimed at Root which wasn't picked up by the stump mics. Root's response of "there's nothing wrong with being gay" was picked up though. As far as Root and England are concerned the matter is closed. https://www.bbc.com/sport/amp/cricket/47208839?__twitter_impression=true

He obviously used a homophobic comment against Root. If there's evidence of this it could land him in trouble and rightly so.

If he did say that, then it could be a very lengthy ban indeed.

I would assume the umpire's need to make an after match report?
