Coronation Street

Anyone notice that when Geoff was e-mailing the escort, it was dated 30 March? Obviously that episode was supposed to go out on Monday, which means that David's encounter with the neds was a between-episodes cliffhanger and not a two-days-later one.

Still seems odd to see people happily drinking in t'Rovers when IRL all the pubs are shut.

Don't know about Corrie but Emmerdale have said they've already filmed scenes for VE Day and Easter which will be all out of kilter so I would imagine the same will happen with Coronation Street.

The concept of “tomorrow” is going to be fucked in many cases with them halving the number of episodes. In Corrie, tomorrow usually means the next episode. But anyone saying tomorrow on Monday’s episode won’t see their event happen until Friday at the earliest and possibly as late as next Monday. So for the next while “tomorrow” on Corrie might actually mean “next week”.

This Geoff storyline is now getting really stupid - caught red-handed using escorts yet she ends up apologising for snooping on him.

agreed, once she found the escort emails surely she would have taken the laptop straight to Alya's (granddaughter). Instead  they drag the ar5e end out of the story for a few ore episodes

What's worse about the Geoff storyline is that Yasmeen was semi-regularly standing up for herself. Then she was completely broken, accepting the chicken killing, eating off the carpet, yet now she's standing up for herself again.  I'm sure there are occasions in which people put under this pressure will waver back and forth, but I don't think it's been at all convincing.

It's a slight shame that the April Fools gags weren't aired on the right date. I think they were pretty good. I always enjoy seeing a more human side of Tracy.

See, at this point, I think she's just saying what she thinks he wants to hear. There were clues on Wednesday that suggested to me that she was just placating the c**t.

How did the powerful matriarch who booted out her unfaithful husband, saw her family through tragic bereavements and single-handedly established the community centre become this clown's bitch?

Gail running in to the cafe to tell David his car was on fire is content you love to see.

I was looking for some light relief the other day and was checking out some Corrie clips on YouTube. What’s your favourite Street moments?

Yasmeen has the most regularly and thoroughly cleaned living room in Western Europe and yet she's somehow never spotted Geoff's 'hidden' camera on one of the main shelves.

Good point.
However, her living room must only be cleaned to the height of her reach. IIRC isn't that camera higher up above her line of vision?
That's the limit of her clean room. It must be filthy above that point.
I bet poor Geoff has to clean the camera lens himself, no wonder he gives her a hard time for her slipshod cleaning.

The first camera was in the CD rack, wasn't it? This was a different one, in a different location, at a different height and now has sound.

Agree that the suspension of disbelief that she hasn't found the cameras given her now obsessive cleaning schedule is wobbily at best.

Corrie is fair cheering me up tonight😲 and what's with all the arty camera shots 😕

Thought that myself. Really good time for one of the most depressing episodes ever.

I doubt many vets will be happy with the professional advice given there - "Best to let the dog die before the owner or anyone close to him has had the chance to voice an opinion on the subject."

"Aye, sure, young girl who has nothing to do with Eccles. You tell us whether or not we're to operate or euthanise the dog. Righto!"

That last shot troubled me. Emma, after getting sent home by Steve, grabs her coat then looks over to Steve, Tracy, Ken and Amy, all hugging each other as the vet explains the prognosis, and then slinks away upset and alone.

They better not have killed that fucking dug to underline the point that Emma is lonely.

To be fair, Eccles looked like it had been suffering from depression for years. Probably for the best.

If she wasn't depressed already, she would've been suicidal after Emma's "I'm everyone's dummy run" soliloquy.
