From the Leeds OS:-

El-Hadji Diouf has signed a new 18-month contract with Leeds United. The 31-year-old, who initially joined the clublb_icon1.png on a non-contract basis back in the summer before signing a deal until January, has agreed a new deal that will take him up to the end of the 2013/14 season.

The former Liverpool and Bolton striker has made 24 appearances this season - his debut came against Shrewsbury Town in the Capital One Cup - and he has scored five goalsicon1.png, the most recent coming in the 2-2 draw at Brighton at the start of November.

United manager Neil Warnock was delighted to secure the services of the playerlb_icon1.png on a longer-term basis.

"We're delighted he's agreed everything and hopefully he'll enjoy the next 18 months with us," said the boss.

"Obviously it's a massive boost for everyone to know we're going to have him around, and this is what we've wanted to do.

"He's a match-winning player, and there aren't many of them around. He's a player who can change a gamelb_icon1.png and I'm delighted we've been able to keep him."

"He's also fitted in really well, and he's been great with the lads."

Excellent game so far, cracking atmosphere and a bit of an edge to the game, especially with that Brown guy who was being a right nob for the first 20mins but seems to have calmed down now.

Chelsea really have to come out and attack now. The goal Chelsea conceded was yet another one where David Luiz was caught up the park and couldn't get back under the counter attack.
