Subscribed because of this months ago. £11.99. It's what they want you to do of course and I hate myself for that but in all honesty it's worth it given the amount of hours I watch.

On my laptop I use FIrefox, with the AdBlocker Ultimate extension, and I don't get any adverts on Youtube. On my phone I use Opera, and with it's ad blocking turned on I don't see adverts on the Youtube site either.

Why do you bother paying P&B for platinum then?

I'll stop watching YouTube before paying for premium.

I'd probably pay a couple of quid for it but not £11.99. I don't even pay that much for my Netflix monthly subscription so it seems dear.

Agreed. I would probably get value out it. At least some. But I'm afraid it's a nose off to spite face scenario.

c***s have spotted the popularity of Netflix and just decided that everything should be a monthly subscription. They all want a piece now and its like they cant see the market is flooded. There's already far too many and I'm now at the won't do it on principle stage.

It's almost like we need an aggregate streaming service that gives you access to all the individual services for one reasonable monthly cost.

Does such a thing even exist?

I've no issue paying for something if I think it's value for money. £11.99 is for me. YouTube is probably the app that gets used most in our house tbh, if not Netflix, which I pay about the same for.

I do have IPTV though as I don't think Sky is value for money and wouldn't pay them a penny so have no issue going down the 'dodgy' route if need be.

I’ve not gone down the route yet. I’m not a big user of YT.

Apparently you can no longer use Visa to pay for YT in Argentina. YT India is supposed to be cheaper.

The current trend with charities' TV advertising - they aren't chasing our money now, instead hoping to convince us to sign away a certain percentage/amount of money from our will*. Getting right on my nerves.

*may have been a thing for ages, I've just noticed it.
