Petty Things That Get On Your Nerves...

I'm going to have to disagree with you there Thomas. Bananas are delicious when firm and sour, still with a bit of green on the skin right through to the soft aromatic flesh of the fully brown stage. So long as they aren't bruised or diseased there should be a window of at least a week, maybe up to two.

Avocados however, have mere seconds between being bitter and rock hard and turning into black mush.

Grown adults who get excited about their birthday.

Fine, it's a nice day for them but do they really need to refer to it for weeks before? Also expecting other people to be happy for them like it's some massive achievement to still be kicking about since this time last year.

I'm 54 and a half in four days time

Borderline unpopular opinion, but surely the default position when on a staircase etc should be to walk on the left.

It seems to be the opposite.

As a southpaw how could I stab you if I'm walking on the left, eh? You've got to consider these things.

Known quite a few people who did this, and in 100% of cases it was an attempt to get extra presents from acquaintances.

Seemed to work for some of them.

The lack of consistency when it comes to team names, for example (courtesy of the BBC):

Since the very noticeable cutbacks after The Rangers struggled out of the lower leagues, the person updating the Scottish fixtures/results clearly couldn't tell you if the diddy clubs have a suffix or not, so be thankful we don't see more "Edinburgh Celtic v Dunfermline Rangers" style guesswork.

Regarding the team names, is it not just a matter of space? 'Dunfermline Atheltic' clearly can't fit in to the box in the image above.

That's just where he's cropped it.

Also, Dunfermline Atheltic? Big team found!

Sky's Soccer Saturday is pretty bad for it, and there are plenty of examples where there's been sufficient space.  A quick Google search picks up on the Ayr and Oxford Utd below, for example:

In that specific example, I'd think it could be because Oxford City may occasionally appear on the vidiprinter, whereas (thankfully) there's only one Ayr.
