All this talk of dog walking reminds me:

What do you do with a dog with no legs?

Take it out for a drag.

...And call it Woodbine.

Do you ever take them to the baths or the shows?

Not done the shows, but we do go to the baths, as below

You ever looked after any blind dogs?

Nope. Just ones that act deaf, when it suits them.

When you say "Shows", are you talking about the funfair or a west end musical?

I've just counted this week, and I'll  do 30 dog walks by the end of the week.  That's a pretty normal week, and it'll pay the bills.

My fun money normally comes in via also doing home boarding, but that's been virtually nil this year, as nobody's been going on holiday. Under normal circumstances I've got a dog boarding with me nearly every week from May to October, and occasional times in other months.

Do you stay in folks houses? Or to the dogs come to your gaff?

I've had a tight achilles for a few weeks and by overprotecting it I've managed to exacerbate my old knee injury and caused a bit of hip pain.

This getting old is shite.

Go to the docs?

I'd suggest the dogs stay at his place old chap.

Fair enough I'm sure there are folk who go and live with the dogs in the dogs home, must be weird I would go through all their stuff to find the weird shit

We all would. That's  why it's  not a thing. Who on earth would invite a stranger to stay in their house to watch a dog?

Take 2 big Cuprofen often, drink plenty of water, take some arnica tablets and smear arnica cream on the area.

Looks like it's a thing, you can even become homeless to do it, "save thousands in rent". I might do it.

Looks like it's a thing

A friend of mine does this (and pet-sitting) semi-professionally.  Sometimes it’s just for people who are going away for a long weekend, somehow scared of leaving their house alone for  three nights.  Not even talking about big mansions full of valuables or anything here, just bog-standard middle class houses.

Eta:  this is for houses with no pets to look after inside, just an empty house.  😕

Does she only train two nights a week?

Travels down to Stirling Uni on Tuesdays and Thursdays to practice using restricted WiFi and Netflix in a vacant student hall room.

... and shame on you for just presuming that it was a woman, you sexist.

Of course the friend in question is a woman.  Nobody’s letting a guy in their house for three nights in the knowledge that they’ll be alone, are they.
