Do you still get folk called Fraser?

I've got two pals called Fraser, both ancient like me.

I’ve hand a think. I can total 4 Fraser’s that I know.

1 from Elgin now in Forfar (probably about 60)

1 English, retired, ex work colleague.

1 from Dundee, musician, probably late 30s.

1 from near Dundee, maybe living in Blairgowrie or the likes, early 30s.

So to summarise, f**k knows I only know 4.

Commentator on the athletics after some random won a middle distance race ...

"it's a transformation from being an also ran on the international scene to a superstar"

and

"incredible, out of nowhere almost"

I wonder what he's inferring and I don't doubt why I find it hard to enjoy this sport as I once did

On the recommendation of a guy from work, i bought some "Madri" Spanish beer today.  As an Estrella Damm regular, i thought i'd give the Madrid beer a go rather than the Barcelona usual purchase.

Turns out the "Madri" isn't brewed in the Spanish capital, but in Burto -O-Tren in englan under licence.   Won't be making further purchases as it isn't as good.

BBC sport coverage and channel switching.

In the last 10 minutes I’ve had to go from red button, to BBC1 to BBC2 to carry on watching the same tennis match.

I wondered about this yesterday when the first few games of the Murray / Isner match were only available on iPlayer.

WTF is going on at the BBC ? They seem to be doing a first class job of giving Johnson & Dorries every excuse to mete out a savaging.

Guy I work with keeps referring to Frasier as 'Fraser'.

He's been told before, but perseveres with saying Fraser, probably in the knowledge that it annoys others.  He's succeeding on that front anyway.

Where do you work that you're all watching American sitcoms enough that this keeps coming up?

There's an episode of Frasier with Bob Hoskins, and he struggles with "Fray-zee-er" throughout.

Am I the only individual on P&B that doesn't own a microwave?

They are a bit like the newly invented Rangers. *

I just don't trust the c***s.

*The older version weren't any better

I've not had a microwave for about 15 years

This reminds me of a PTTGOYN from my time in Hong Kong - the microwave was above the fridge and a cabinet and thus way too high - you pretty much had to stand on a stool to get food out or risk spilling it on your head.

I tried to use that word in Scrabble. 19 points. And it was on a triple word square.

Too many vowels and other low scoring letters.
