Buffalo chicken is a thing with a recipe.

You can't just call any spicy chicken buffalo chicken

Buffalo sauce is made with hot sauce (usually Frank's hot sauce) and butter. Lather than over some bird's eye chicken dippers and you have an incredible snack.

Who the hell is claiming that any old spicy chicken is buffalo chicken?

Hunners o places. Everywhere from Tesco pizzas to pubs and burger places who think any red spicy sauce on wings is buffalo, or worse still just use tobasco alone. The latest being the giddy goose in Dundee last night serving what was blatantly a tandoori chicken burger

Fair play to Thundercat in Glasgow who seem to the only place capable of making buffalo wings like you get in New York

Yeah I’ve noticed this a fair few times. Order buffalo wings and get some bland attempt at hot sauce.

Buffalo wings are ridiculously easy to make at home. Buy a bottle of frank’s hot sauce for about £1.50 in Tesco and mix it 50-50 with butter then pour it over chicken wings.

You can keep it if you aren't including white vinegar.

Not ashamed to admit that looks a very special bit of kit. Where did you purchase?

Once spewed on the banks of the canal in Dublin after a night of Guinness and buffalo wings. That sauce isn't so pleasant on the way back up.

Last time I was in Dublin I painted a bathroom Guinness coloured. No buffalo wings involved though.
