I can't say it's something that bothers me though. I do sometimes give the eldest a piece of free fruit on the odd occasion I shop at Tesco. It's got nothing to do with keeping her quiet though, it's because it's free and I'm sticking it to the man. Winning. What’s this? Tesco gives out free fruit?

Much odder that lifting items off the shelf and eating them would get anyone else huckled out and potentially lifted, but not when it's the 'ahve got two weans' brigade.

19QOS19
Never heard of this. Is it only for children? The board says something like 'Why not give your child a healthy snack while you shop' so it's intended for kids but if they are expecting to lose that profit anyway I doubt they'd huckle an adult out for eating it.

BFTD
I forgot to whinge about this at the time, but a couple of weeks ago our local Tesco decided to gradually move everything around in the aisles. It took forever (not sure if they've even finished now), led to groups of confused folk wandering around looking for the new place to pick up their messages, and obviously choke points in the store when staff were moving the stock. I know they do this every now and then to increase sales, and Tesco actually do it less often than the retail experts recommend, but I was quite flabbergasted that they'd decide to implement retail strategy that encourages aimless wandering and shuffling about in close proximity during a pandemic where the government are telling people to strictly limit their exposure to other people. I don't get the thinking on that at all.
