Guest Se Draca
I take it its a DVD you have newly obtained Yup Is this a new one? © 2002: The director's cut When was it filmed? © 1971. Before and during the recording of 'Dark Side of the Moon' When did it come out? Later that year - maybe 1972 Where can I buy it and how much? Here on Amazon £14.99 And for after you watch it :-Is it any good? I've been a Floyd afficionado for many moons now - I just love it all, especially the weirder pre-Dark Side stuff. I've had a decko at a couple of tracks and yeah, it's great Track List: Echoes - I Careful with that Axe, Eugene A Saucerful of Secrets Us and Them One of these Days (I'm going to cut you into little pieces) Madamoiselle Nobs Brain Damage Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun Echoes II And it is worth the money? The sound quality isn't up to today's standard - but if you've got any of their early music on CD then you're about there. The extras are the original film a bit of documentary and some stills/album covers/usual shite. I'd have got it even if I hadn't had a voucher Edited January 28, 2004 by Se Draca

Guest Se Draca
You cant beat Syds' Floyd. I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like. It's got a basket, a bell that rings and things to make it look good. I'd give it you if I could but I borrowed it They certainly don't hallucinate them like they used to

He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse. Sheer class, but not as good as The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett
Guest Se Draca
Thanks for that, sounds as if it may well be worth a look. Will wait till payday. I play at being a Pink Floyd fan, get a few CD's, but to be honest dont know a lot about the earlier stuff. It can take some time to 'get your ear in'. I'm sure that if you type in some of the track listing in your favourite 'music-aquisition' web-site you'll get a flavour. But be careful, this was the time of the 12 minute self-indulgent dinosaurs, so a download might take a wee whiley I remember watching a Pink Floyd concert on telly in about 1990 from Venice I think. Is that available on DVD, that show blew me away. Maybe that was 'The Wall' from Berlin 1990 - Just Roger Waters + a host of stars but one of the best televised concerts around
Guest Se Draca
I know that one. Its on Echoes. My preferred choice of "getting to sleep" CD. First released on 'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn' in 1967 - which contains the classically named 'Interstellar Overdrive' amongst other belters Edited January 28, 2004 by Se Draca
Guest Se Draca
You think the young uns might be a bit confused by now? Not as confused as if they heard any of it
Guest Se Draca
Nope, I already got that one on video. That was superb, even Cindy Lauper making an arse of herself is bearable on the tape. It might have been a bit later, 91-92, and it was a Gilmour led band. It was on cooncil telly on a Saturday night in July. I watched it in Jersey, had been drinking the local brew all night and was severely guttered. But the music that night was amazing and the light show (for the time) was mind blowing. I must have missed that one - erse ! Mind you, I was getting seriously Gothic at that time
p&b is a disgrace
not as good as The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett An Effervessing Elephant With tiny eyes and great big trunk once whispered to the tiny ear, the ear of one in fear you hear that by next June he'd die Oh Yeh! And the tiger would roam the little one said "Oh my goodness I must stay at home! And every time I hear a growl, I'll know the tiger's on the prowl And I'll be really safe, you know, the elephant, he told me so." Everyone was nervous, Oh yeah! And the message was spread to zebra, mongoose and the dirty hippopotamus who wallowed in the mud and chewed his spicy hippo-plankton food and tended to ignore the word referring to a survey I heard of stupid water bison Oh yeah! And all the jungle took fright and ran around for all the day and the night, But all in vain because, you see, the tiger came and said, "Who me? You know I wouldn't hurt not one of you I much prefer something to chew, and you're all too scant." Oh yeah! ................ He ate the elephant!!
