The Naitch
Ticket giveaway from the new owners - https://www.freescotrailtickets.com/ Not a shite/late April Fools joke, I promise. Sergeant Wilson
Not many decent tickets left. All the popular routes went pretty quickly. They could sack some staff and free up money for more. You could hardly get in and out of Queen Street and Central today for legions of customer service advisors loitering in front of the ticket gates and generally getting in the road. Sergeant Wilson
They've probably taken on temps to make it look like the new mob give a shit. It'll be back to normal soon. Anyway railway staff are quite well paid. A strong union in the 70s saw to that.

ajwffc
Are abellio covering all of Scotlands services? Do they all come into action in 2018? Know next to nothing about this They now run all ScotRail services that First did apart from the sleepers that ate now run by Serco. East Coast trains is now Stagecoach using the Virgin trains brand name. The west coast is a 51/49% Virgin/Stagecoach split and Cross-country trains is run by Arriva(part of DB).
