It does seem the VAR refs are not willing to make any calls themselves. Always delaying the game for 3 minutes before calling the ref over to the telly.

Other than that, Kelly and Furlong need to be force fed Red Bull at half time.

With the benefit of replays, the VAR official AND the referee must have decided that Bevis made his body unnaturally bigger (by jumping with flailing arms).   Intent doesn't come into it, once he's got his arms well away from his body, he's stuffed.

 

I mean, it's a shit rule, but it's the current rule regardless.
