Coventry Saint
Feel this will be a step too far for our thin squad, even allowing for the obvious Curtis Main mind games. Narrow home win and Shinnie to get booked.

The squad is really running on empty now unfortunately. If Main was to be fit tonight it would be a massive boost though, he's our only out-ball now as that is definitely not something we could ask of Kiltie. Again though, we may as well go for it. We know that we need to win at least one of the last two matches to stand any chance whatsoever of 5th (unless we draw both games and Hibs lose a 9 goal swing between Celtic and Hearts) and honestly? I'd rather go down swinging than grabbing two draws and missing out by a handful of goals. In saying that, I'd take a point tonight if Hibs lose and come out swinging on Saturday.
Suspect Device
It's match day!! Filled with my usual pre-match pessimism. If things are not sewn up tonight, then we're fucked.

What surely whoever comes out on top over the course of a 38 game season deserves the reward that it brings? Or what if ICT win the Scottish? Do they not deserve a crack at the European Groups because they don’t have the European pedigree Aberdeen have?
anotherchance
Feel sick already. Can only compare the horrible feeling of pressure to the 2014 LC final where we were expected to win, but even that was tempered by the joy and camaraderie that goes with being in the cup final. Hopefully Bazza will have the boys in the right place mentally.

If you were a Killie or United fan, i could understand feeling sick.

We could actually still finish 5th but having a home game with St Mirren to clinch a place in Europe is miles more preferable to the pressure that Dundee United will be under tonight.
elvis
Thinking we will lose tonight as will Hibs then we will beat The Rangers on Saturday while Hibs lose to Hearts job done then its all down to the Celtic.EASY when you say it like that lol.
ZingaliMan
Aberdeen should really be wining this being a home game and a squad on a budget Saints could only dream of having . But that's been said quite a lot this season wether it's Celtic, Hearts, Rangers and Aberdeen so if St Mirren were to come back down to Paisley with points it would not surprise me .

Missing out on the guaranteed group stage fitba would be an absolute sickener - and if it goes into the final game then our chances of achieving it are greatly diminished. And re Dundee United, I think "levels" is what the cool kids call it.
Frank Grimes
Never contemplated we’d be in this position come the last home game of the season and I’d have bitten your hand off for 4th after Handsome Jim climbed over the advertising boards at Hibs However, it would be pretty sickening to blow likely group stage fitba after getting ourselves in this position Nervous AF
VincentGuerin
Hard to see how St Mirren get a result if Main's out and Aberdeen are more or less full-strength. It'll be over relatively quickly and the Aberdeen lads worrying just now will winder what all the fuss was about.

Aberdeen on the other hand have been running on empty as soon as Hearts scored we didn't even create a chance after that. We have 3 players coming back tonight which 2 won't be match fit while Duk is being risked with a hamstring injury - not a great place to be for our most important game of the season.

The referee blows his whistle to halt the restart, much to the confusion of everybody inside Pittodrie. Then come those foreboding words over the PA: 'VAR checking possible red card for serious foul play.' Yeah lets hope so. Or Shinne could just try not being a c**t -

Robertson is listed as a “former player” with Saints,Thistle and Queen’s Park. He is not even listed in any actual matches played for us, probably as he finished playing by 17 years old to be a Ref. Thats some different level of paranoia there mixed in with a fair chunk of panic for this game.
