Guest
With Spartans up and Lesser Hampden still a pipe dream there will be four SPFL teams playing in Edinburgh at the start of next season and only three in Glasgow. This ever happened before? Even in the days of Leith Athletic and St Bernard's Third Lanark and Clyde were there to bump up the Glasgow figures

craigkillie
I'd be astonished if Lesser Hampden wasn't used next season.

Good call. The Glasgow/Lanarkshire debate around Shawfield may impact figures as well

HibeeJibee
Further to this: from 1904 (when Leith went to Logie Green) > 1906 when Glasgow annexed Mount Florida/certainly 1909 when Partick went to Firhill in Glasgow's Maryhill: Glasgow = 2? Celtic Third Lanark (assuming Cathkin area was already part of Glasgow unlike Hampden) Edinburgh = 4? Hearts Hibs (assuming tradition about Easter Road being in Edinburgh is correct) Leith St Bernards

Surely it was separate from Edinburgh at that time.

Leith was until 1920 but all Leith Athletic's grounds from 1900 to 1927... Chancelot Park, Logie Green, Powderhall... weren't: Worth saying that 1905 map does show ER in Leith (marginally!): Edited May 20, 2023 by HibeeJibee
