Never had a tattoo before however contemplating getting a small one on my wrist or ankle. Someone I know has one across his abdomen and apparently it didn’t hurt just felt a bit tickly.Has anyone had one on their wrist/ankle? And does it hurt?

I've got one on my wrist. Like any tattoo you will feel the odd little painful bit. Make sue you go to someone who knows what their doing as some think they are digging for bait when the start going into your skin.

My wife has a couple on her wrist. Apparently when you get tattoos done one bony parts of the body like wrists and ankles, these are the most painful.

Wrist is nothing in comparison to the inside of your upper arm.

All tattoos hurt to some extent. I've got 16 in various places. Wrists are nippy. Shoulder blades and spine were nippy. Elbow was nippy. Generally I find the fleshier the area, the less they hurt. Generally it's a hot, jaggy feeling. They're done with reciprocating needles being dragged across your skin, so they're never going to be painless.
