A question for fans of both clubs:

it's our biggest game in x years. *

* until the final obviously.

It's Ayrs biggest game since they played Inverness Caledonian Thistle on the 5th of May.  It's doubtful it will be as big as our two legs against Ross County though.

Big challenge tactically for Doolan this one, with Bullen no doubt closely analysing our attacking exploits, think my hope is we didn't actually need to be that good going forward against QP as their defending was that bad and thus having more to give.

The last game against Ayr felt like a defeat, almost thought it was for a minute. We fell apart after our goal as we have done a few times since, really can't afford to play like that at all on Friday night and hope we've learned from that.

These play-offs feel like a free hit for us, nice just to be involved right now given how pish we were mid season, Doolan has really turned the team around.

I see Lee Bully Bullen's former clubs, Falkirk and Sheffield Wednesday,  have both suffered playoff atrocities . Here's hoping the Tories of Ayr United are added to the Killing Fields.

Thank you.

The question is: is that real west end, where you couldn't swing a (cricket) bat for hitting five people from private school, or fake west end (maryhill) where only Tories call it the west end?

Didn't know what the Tories called Maryhill, but you're from Ayr so straight from the horses mouth.

I can't wait to wallop a few of the country bumpkins on Friday night, up at the canal.

The attempts last time out were pathetic, so you can bring one weapon each. No firearms or horses though.

Thank you.

Heard Dave Smith has chartered a satellite to go and clear the thermosphere to make room for the volume of Thistle fans' jaws and their glasses of merlot that are going to be launched up there.

Heard he’s chartered a private jet that’ll carry the team and land on Gardcube Road.
