I’m not sure he gives enough of a toss to be worried about it. What I will say is that the incoming president has lost his first meaningful vote on his first first day in charge, not a great look.

If he's any sense he'll say he's heard the message loud and clear and he'll be working for all the members, new broom style. Probably through gritted teeth mind.

Bad news and a potential embarrassment for Dundee United fans is that Mark Ogren, while stating he'll give consideration to the views of the support, intends to make a decision by himself on how to vote.

Considering how well that his choices have gone this season, I'm preparing to hide.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if United are a no.

Nothing we have done in the past 3 years has given me any reason to be optimistic that the owners have any understanding of Scottish football.

Is there much of a precedent for a SFA Board backed resolution which they argued as fundamental to the structure of the domestic game and the future of the International game being rejected by the membership due to its ineptness in form, structure and presentation?

The last one was probably in 2012 with their attempt to get Sevco a place in the SPL, then Division 1, before they were forced by a fans revolt to admit them to Division 3 (bottom of the "pyramid" as it was then).

Livingston now a confirmed No. St Mirren and Motherwell also. Thankfully fan pressure has swayed this towards the good guys.

When it is rejected Maxwell’s position must be untenable surely

Motherwell? Not seen this on web-site, facebook or twitter yet unless missed.

Ayr United's consultation ends at 5pm so there may be something from them before the vote.

Annan says no.

CLUB STATEMENT-CONFERENCE LEAGUE PROPOSAL

The board of Annan Athletic FC have considered the conference league proposal put forward by the SFA and as a club have decided to vote against the proposed creation of a new tier.

As a club Annan Athletic FC has always strived to improve and develop and another chapter in our fine history was written when we were promoted to cinch League One this season.

The club is fully open to listen to ideas that develop the Scottish game further and feel more work needs to be done within the pyramid system to support clubs who like ourselves strive to continually improve and play at the highest level possible.

Just been sent this by a committee member at a club -

Good Afternoon

Scottish FA Annual General Meeting: 6 June 2023

Withdrawal of Resolution 7

I refer to Resolution 7 in the Notice of the Scottish FA's 2023 Annual General Meeting, sent to members on 12 May 2023.  Resolution 7 seeks approval (in accordance with Scottish FA Article 18.1) for the formation of The Scottish Conference League as a recognised football body.  The Scottish FA Board has received a variety of feedback in respect of Resolution 7 and has concluded that it would like to carry out further consultation in respect of the player pathway to ensure the best development opportunities for Scottish players within the football pyramid.

The Scottish FA Board has therefore resolved to withdraw Resolution 7 from the business to be transacted at the Annual General Meeting on 6 June 2023.  The withdrawal of Resolution 7 does not otherwise affect the validity of the Notice of the Annual General Meeting, the Proxy Form or any proxy votes already submitted on other proposed Resolutions.  The numbering of all other proposed Resolutions at the Annual General Meeting will remain unchanged.

Kind regards
