Granted, but players develop at different rates, worth remembering he wasn't dropped into the first team as young as wee Al either, I'd give him 50 appearances like maguire then see where he is.

The second penalty shout looks more of a penalty than the first one. At the first one Fletcher was already on his way down before Kelly touched him. 

Kelly was poor at both penalty incidents.

Goss was very weak and easy beat at the equaliser.

What was the story with VAR using the wrong line for the Motherwell goal? All very confusing.

They are both clear penalties. For what it's worth I don't really like those situations being awarded as penalties as I don't think Fletcher has any intention of getting onto the ball once it's past the keeper on either occasion.  Under the current rules they are both certain penalties though. The ref is clearly about the give the second one then for some reason changes his mind at the last second. VAR should have corrected him though.

Re-watch the Hibs game.  He dominates the midfield in that game.  He's not as good as Campbell, and it's likely the reason he'll remain with us before dropping down to Championship/sign for St Mirren.

 

As for Aitchison.  His attempt at a first touch is absolutely painful to watch.  If he could basically sort that out he'd be a decent player for our level.

Yep - that was really noticeable as we've got a lot of technically decent players (whatever their other drawbacks are) - his first touch went about 2 yards away from him every time and just slowed things down. Haven't really seen much from him yet to suggest he's worth a contract.

There were no wrong lines.  VAR produced the picture from the earlier phase rather than the one where the ball was tapped in.  On that later phase there was a player offside but not interfering with play.

yeh the decision was correct but the freeze frame makes it look like the utd player was blocked/has a chance of getting to the ball and that just wasn't true
