Dunfermline vs Kelty 01/04/23

Recommended Posts

I don't get Kelty's approach to this game. They aren't going down, they aren't going to be in the play offs at either end. Why not come and have a go, try and get what would be a famous first win in a competitive game at East End Park, show that they have something about then? Instead it's like a training match of attack v defense. They might well end up getting a point out of this (and they have a corner so watch them score now) but it's eye bleeding stuff.

We are playing into their hands somewhat mind you, some of our approach play and crossing has been abysmal. Wighton with his header and then kicking it off his standing leg are about the only real chances we've made. Abject stuff tbh.

Missed the chance to go there and clinch it next week though. Too many not on it today and not enough mixing it up when it was clear it wasn't happening.

Instead of an epic, it's just going to be as big a damp squib as that KBD fixture will ever see now.  😕

Second home game in a row we’ve just seemed so flat. Off the ball, everyone just stood still. Nobody was running, nobody was trying to move into or create space. It was just bad. We should be used to teams sitting in at East End now and figure out a way to combat it.

Credit to Kelty, they got what they wanted. They were organised and made it tough for us.

Glad of a point but pretty negative stuff from us. Building required for nest season for sure!

Kelty were very well organised defensively and set-out to get a point. It's up to Pars to break it down and for two home games in a row we have failed to do that.

KRH was putting balls in the box but our forwards never anticipate. The Mahon and McCann behind Wighton set-up was a disaster of an attacking set-up.

We really have missed Matty Todd the last two home games, a player that can take a shot from distance and give that bit of energy attacking from midfield.

Falkirk have yet again helped us though.
