The places with highest rates are, for men, the Lothian Healthboard region, with a rate of 327/100k. For women, it's Tayside where the rate is 158/100k. Lowest rates (excluding the islands which have missing data) are the Borders, highlands and Dumfries and galloway. He is older than me and I remember him in the pub one night, talking to me and my friends describing in great detail what sounded like a cocktail umbrella being put down his old chap to scrape it out.
