Title race

The way it was explained to me is that because it is a new stadium we would be allowed to build “safe standing” i.e what they have in English premier league grounds etc but not allowed a more standard “terracing”.

A existing licensed ground with terracing would be able to add more though. For example when Albion Rovers added that wee terracing behind the goal.

I don't recall seeing such a rule, that can't be right, surely?  Firstly, the obvious loophole is build a stand and then add terracing.  And secondly, its not even a new stadium surely?  Just extreme renovations!

It is new in that it did not already hold a stadium license

I’ve read through the SFA and SPFL rules and see nothing requiring “safe standing” outwith Gold Standard Licensing Criteria. The post-Hillborough rules do not apply to a Scottish football, but we’re complied with anyway, but unless there is a law otherwise, I can’t see how a terrace section would be illegal.

Was quite impressed with the Ayr plans - looks good and modern, but still sympathetic to the current stadium, which I've always been a fan of.

I stand on the North Terrace and I'm delighted that they are retaining as much of it (and its character) as they can.

Tbh, it sounds like someone high up at Queens made this up and told the fans as a convenient excuse for why they werent putting a terrace in for the plebs.

After all, that terrace would have got in the way of the servants quarters and integrated limo park for their new directors box.

This is all really wonderful, but a new stand isn't going to win the title race.

I beg to differ good sir, I remember our new hub doing a star turn in the middle of the park. It was the man of the match in a couple of games.

Thank you.

Tortoise and their hare, Johnny. We all remember the story. We've beeb repugnant all season whilst QueensPurk have apparently been scintillating yet we are still going to limp over the line in first place.

What a club.

Based solely on PnB posters, Morton are always offensive.

You just haven't got over QP failure to beat the Ton this season in the league, this probably goes back some 100 years now.

But all is not lost as it now looks a 2 horse race, the question is the flat season beckons, are you up for it!
